Comment:

Pretty easy class. Lecture with the occassional film. He sometimes talks low so sit close to him if possible. Exams were essay and IDs. One paper comparing a film to what we learned in class. After the midterm attendance was mandatory (he noticed a lot of new faces at the midterm) and he emailed copies of his outlines before class.

His classes are straight lecture so if you don't like that, this class is not for you. He didn't require a significant amount of work, only 2 papers (based on novels) a group project and 3 tests. I never opened the textbook and got a B, but I took good notes in class. If you pay attention and actually read you should be fine.

Bill Sharp is the most boring man on the planet He resemble Santa Claus which distracts you once you realize this His corduroy pants give you an occasional laugh but then its nap time Hes a good guy but too old and boring to teach This class is pretty easy if you go to class not even take notes just go and do the study guide and the test is easy

His lectures are long and verrryyyyy BORING!!!! I like history and this class puts me to sleep. His tests are Very hard, he's a very hard grader, takes off on everything. I wouldn't take him.

if you just take really good notes, you really don't even need a book. just know what's on the study guide he gives you and you'll be fine. you will definitely need the other books to write the essays from tho. overall he wasn't too bad, just no personality

He rambles on.. he may be talking about one thing, then he starts on another, and THEN he goes back to something he was talking about in the beginning of class. I didnt get much out of the class. If you dont like history, this is not the teacher for you. Review sheets dont even help.
