Comment:

Skip makes mistakes and gets mad when you ask for help. The TA tries her best but lack of good communication from the professor means she also doesn't know what's going on. He forgot about one of our makeup labs and scheduled a quiz. We got a worksheet and someone asked if it was due the answer was no but halfway through class skip changed his mind

Comment:

I am very grateful that Dr. Skip was my introduction to the world of engineering as he gives a lot of examples of what you can do in chemical, bio, and environmental engineering. Labs are pretty fun, and the only somewhat tough quiz was the final. I switched out of ChemE but he definitely made the major feel fun.

Skip cares a lot about students but he has no social filter. When he gets angry, angst y, or frustrated he can be pretty offensive. Also his classes are very lackluster. He just points at a set of pre-written notes during lecture and talks which is not great for most learners. His exams are a lot like the homework, but they are long so be prepared

Skip cares a lot about students. I have never seen a professor hold office hours from 6pm-midnight before a test before I met him. However, you really have to work for your grade and some of his problems are extremely tedious. I worked super hard and got a B but it would have been possible to have an A if I allocated enough time. Tests very long

Very easy to pass if you attend all labs. The lectures are very informative and Skip sends lots of emails about various opportunities to get into the engineering world quicker.

Dr. Skip really cares about his students - you can tell he wants us to succeed. If you put in some effort and do the work (the assignments are pretty straightforward), it's an easy A.

Skip is a hilarious and great guy. Don't mess around in his class and he'll be great. He teaches in a way that is easy to understand, and if you need help he always offers help sessions. If you want to get on his really good side (possible future internship opportunity) make sure you got to his events like k-12 outreach programs.

I absolutely loved Dr. Skip, I always looked forward to going to his class. Never leave your lab until the night before its due because you will be up ALL NIGHT then. He is extremely fair and is very reasonable with you as long as you are trying hard. I was sad to leave his class. The lectures are a tad boring since you listen to other students.

Skip is great guy. However he is very bad grader, he takes off point for everything even though I do sometimes what he asks. The lecture is extremely boring, the Lab is kinda enjoyable and recitations is waste of time except we have a quiz during it.i would say don't ever take with him optional courses such as CBEE

Skip is one of the most genuine professors in the department. He is very passionate about outreach and helping students succeed in the classroom and with professional development. He is very approachable and if you seek help with HW, or finding a job/internship he will help you out.

Very experienced professor. I found him to be pretty approachable, however some of my friends in the class disagreed. He's very willing to share about what he knows in regards to engineering, and is a very interesting lecturer. Rarely used the book, though quizzes were open book.

Graduate polymers. Skip is good people. He is an excellent lecturer. We covered a lot of material. His test and HW's require you to think... not rote. He doesn't suffer fools and I got called out for a dumb, half-thought-out answer. My only problem with Skip is that he is so popular that he is hard to get to for help.

This class was my FAVE this term! Dr. Skip is awesome, he learned 150 names in two weeks and cares about his students. He has help sessions outside class for assignments and excel and walks you through everything beforehand and allows notes on quizzes. Plus the labs are fun! The only thing, an A- is >95% so I almost lost a scholarship because of it
