SHE JUST READ THE SLIDES THERE IS A DIFFICULT GROUO PROJECT THAT SHE DOESNT EXPLAIN HOW TO DO AND YOU HAVE TO BREAK YOUR HEAD TO WORK ON IT. SHE USE TEST BANK ALL THE QUESTIONS FROM THE MID AND FINAL ARE FROM A TEST BANK. I DID GOOD ON THE FINAL BECAUSE I STUDIED FROM TB BUT BAD ON THE MID BECAUSE I DID NOT ABOUT TEST BANK. just got the grade from midterm and dropping. her midterm was 50 Q. Like 80% was calculations. There is not enough time to do all these calculations. try to avoid her!!! even after doing practice problems & reading the slides, the time she gives for the test and connect quizzes are not enough even if you know the material.

OMG. Just took the midterm and it was horrible. She came in late so the exam started late, but we didn't get any extra time! 1h20min,50 multiple choices, but over 50% needed calculation like you had to prepare a bond/lease amortization schedule to answer those questions. I hated when she said happy halloween while everyone was rushing to finish!

I thought I would be able to handle the workload, but despite putting countless hours into studying the material, I ended with an unsatisfactory grade. I did well on the midterm, but the final killed me even though I studied a lot for the exam. Prof. Deng is a tough professor, and this is the first time I've received a C grade.

By far, the best Accounting Professor at Baruch. Take her and you will not regret that you did. Do the home works and try as much as you can to participate in class and i bet ya, "A" will not be difficult to get. The same can not be true in other higher accounting classes.

This class has 4 quiz, but they are from HW, if you do all the basic exercise, problems and exercise after chapters, you gonna be fine, each has 5% of whole grade. class Presentation is helpful, she will give exercises in class, be sure you very prepared before class. Midterm and final have 30 MCs, 2 long answers. Extra credit for in class practice

She's not SO horrible she explains she does problems you just have to practice it's accounting. You have 4 quizes (20%) 1 midterm (25%) a final (35%) Group project (10% btw you're not getting the 10pts there) and hw (10%) she's the best teacher in terms of giving you the chance to pass the quizzes are grade boosters that being said she's tough.

This professor does not help student to understand the basic concept of the course. She gives extra credit to those who solve problems in the class. These students basically copy the end of chapter solutions. She repeats same questions and this gives better chance to those 2nd taker and those who have friend in her prior class.

This class is all about practice. The more problems you do on your own and pay attention in class, the better grade you will get. 4 quizzes, 1 midterm, 1 final, group project and HW. Extra credits for solving problems on the board, so make sure u do those. Quizzes are easy, except for the 3rd one. Midterm - doable. Final -KILLER.

I think professor Deng is the best teacher in Baruch Accounting department , she does everything in easier way, like her a lot . I hope I can take her other classes. If you choose her class, I think you are luck one. In Baruch accounting department,most of them ??? , but she is very professional and you will learn so much from her. Thank you .

she isnt as bad as she use to be.she gives 4 quizzes, homework midterm and final. quizzes arent that hard but easy to do bad one them, final and midterm there are two problem that are worth 50%& 50% multiple choice the problems are way easier than the multiple choice.she gives extra credit towards final grade. and she curves got a b+.

If you are the accounting major, if you are serious about your major, if you really want to learn accounting, take her. Yes, she is not an easy professor, but she teaches from her experience. Thus, she can tell you what is useful in the real world and what you will never use for the whole life.

The way other students described her is quite discouraging but I still took her class!! She teaches well and yes she goes through the slides but explains thoroughly and focuses on main points more. She has improved a lot in teaching if compared to comments below. Overall, great accounting professor. I am glad I took her class.

Not as bad as everyone says. Exams were not hard. They have 2 written problems. 1 worth 17 points and the other worth 9. It's extremely easy to get within B range on exams. Quizzes are annoying. Easy to do bad on quiz. Hw are OK and group project is annoying also.

hate her, hw,quiz, midterm final and project. the project she doesnt even say what she wants. She is never available good luck tryin to find her. Her class is not too hard but she is an unfair grader. is like she is happy when she gives low grades. all i can say is good luck and participate even if u dont know what ur doing bc it makes a difference
