Please take notes in her class. She write everything on the board for you, but if you miss a class, she will not help you during her office hours. She will shoo shoo you away just like the other IT professors. I would have to say she is an "ok" professor :)

The class is easy. She assigns a lot of work that she will probably never check. She gave HW, then when we came to class she did the exact same assignments!! CAN YOU SAY BORING!. She can be sarcastic. SHE NEVER EVER EVER EVER RETURNS EMAILS! She has yet to post our grades and it has been a month. :(

Great professor! Very clear and helpful! Goes at a reasonable pace and outlines what she expects for each project. I can't say it enough...GREAT TEACHER!!! I'm actually interested in computer science now, and I'm a mechanical engineering major!

She is pretty helpful and gives away a lot of code in class, which is extremely helpful! You will have to work in this class, but I would recommend her over any other teacher, especially Zucker! If you have a question, don't be afraid to email her. The last 2 projects are pretty hard, but most def study your notes before tests! They will help!

If you have ever used a computer, this is an easy A. Do the online quizzes and try to at least outdo others on the few other assignments. There is no way you can fail this lady's class. She's really nice, too.

This lady cares and I owe her a hug. Very clear instruction, as helpful as she can be, and genuinely sincere. There are a few of her superiors in the dept. who could learn alot from her. She comes to class with a definate lesson plan and makes it a breeze. The projects are torture, but she's willing to help and she can answer your questions.

To all COBOL students: Do not become complacent as you move to File Structures, regardless of your grade. PTB provides a solid foundation, but the tether gets cut and soon all you'll have are project specs. These projects take considerably longer just to figure out the logic; the coding is the easy part.

Really Good Teacher, knows her stuff (not windows or linux) but is relaly good at COBOL, Tests are fair, programs are long but easy and she goes all over the requirements for test and programs. I have an 89 right now on COBOL and 2 weeks to go.

Decent teacher, gives plenty of code and basically gives you half your project (pseudocode, skeletal hierarchy charts, etc). Can be a time-consuming class, though. Voice won't put you to sleep, pleasant personality (though a little computerditzy sometimes - not always so savvy with little things). Attend, pay attention, AND STUDY FOR TESTS!!!

I'm in her Distance Learning section of File Structures and had a rude awakening for my first project and exam. Although I earned an 'A' in COBOL, it didn't prepare me for this course. She is sympathetic and willing to consider a student's relative progress and I will be attending her COBOL lectures after File Structures so I can catch up.

took her both semesters last year. she is very precice. go to class every day - she gives tons of code that you can use word for word in the projects. goes over the test questions before the test. LOVED both classes - will be taking her for senior project. passed both classes with B (while working full time & taking 2 other classes each semester)

Mrs. Brauda is a great person, but I'm not so sure she knows exactly what she is talking about half of the time. It seems that she stumbles through more material than she teaches. She loves COBOL a little too much :-)

Mrs. Brauda is a great teacher. She is patient, thorough, and easy to understand. If you need extra help, she is there for you. She seems to really enjoy teaching--she likes the material and the students. The assignments are lengthy, but not difficult. I recommend her for COBOL or anything else
