Dr. Dobrowolsky is a sweet, funny, and respectable professor. If you want to do well in her course, just do the textbook readings and attend lectures and you will be fine. She is also very helpful outside of class if any one needs extra assistance.

Easy class if you put in the work! Consisted of a group debate project presented in class, 1 paper, and 2 quizzes. Attendance is marked. Theres no final exam and most of the quiz questios come directly from the lectures! Would recommend 10/10 Dr. Dobrowolsky is an amazing prof!

Dobrowolsky is a wonderful prof. So kind, very animated, really cares about her subject and is always willing to go to extra mile to make sure you understand. Had a great experience with her and she's the reason I'm majoring in poli sci. Will be taking another one of her courses ASAP!

She's so cute and very bubbly. Really raised my interest in Political Science, though she assigned some tough papers. Very passionate about politics and it shows in her teaching. Feminist! Lovely lady though the class can be challenging and the lectures give you a lot of information at once.

Great professor. Slides were full of information and it was easy to sort out what was important. Went to great lengths to ensure concepts and assignments were understood. Half the classes were either debates or guest speakers. Great class, highly recommend.

SHE IS SO UNORGANIZED IT IS PAINFUL. SHE CREATES A SYLLABUS AND DOESNT FOLLOW IT, SHE ANSWERS THE SAME QUESTION A DIFFERENT WAY TO 4 PEOPLE AND SHE CAN NOT GATHER HER THOUGHTS FOR A LECTURE. COMPLETELY ABANDONS FULL CHAPTERS AND CHOSE TERRIBLE TEXT BOOKS FOR HER LECTURES, SHE LITERALLY TALKS ABOUT 2 PAGES OF THE 50 YOU READ EVERY TIME.

Just a top-notch prof! She know's her stuff and is incredibly passionate about teaching. She can get caught up in it all sometimes, but she will gladly go back and make sure you're all on the same page. I'd definitely recommend taking classes with her!

Initially I thought this would be a good class to take. However, I found it was a lot of work for a first year class and she is a hard marker. Also she speaks vert quickly and I found it difficult to pay attention. She is however a very nice woman and definitely willing to help you if you ever need it.

Very nice lady but she has favourites. I found the readings to be a bit heavy and the textbook that she chose was terribly boring. Lectures are dry and she puts way too much information on the slides. She's an approachable prof, however, you have to be willing to put a lot of time and effort into the course in order to get a good mark.

She is a nice lady and a fun person but a Terrible teacher who is extremely unorganized. She is also extremely giddy. Her slides are hard to read and the text book teaches you nothing. The tests are like exams in other elective courses. If this is your elective take something easier and more interesting. This coming from someone who likes politics.

I thought Dr. Dobrowolsky was one of the best profs i ever had. She really listens to feedback froms students, the older comments on here have been adressed, she doesnt talk to quickly, and she doesn't force her opinions down your throat. The readings are quite long, but classic and very interesting. Exams were pretty easy, loved the class!
