Comment:

Way too fast to catch up. Test & assignment feedback is weak. Students had to ask him to go over certain homework questions, he should've asked us if we had any areas of concern. He doesn't seem to care about his students at all & had a lack of communication with the recitation instructor (ie. diff topics & rules were applied). Too much homework.

Comment:

If you do the recitations, you're good for the midterms! However, I found the recitations hard to study for because he doesn't use a text book and rarely hands out any practice sheets. SO its hard to know what to expect for the quizzes. Other than that hes pretty good.

Comment:

As a student who has historically not been good in math, I am pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoy and understand this course. I took the same course last semester with a different professor and I ended up dropping it because I just was not following. As long as you go to class (since nothing is online), keeping up isnt an issue.

He was amazing. Would definitely take again. Hes quirky and appears to be shy in front of a large group but one on one hes great! Gives good feedback and is always available for additional help.

He goes way too fast in lectures (if you're not good with math its hard to catch up). He wont reply to your emails and is difficult to reach him during office hours. BUT if you just practice recitations , you're golden for midterms (exactly the same just different numbers). For exams, just study through midterms and recitations, and you're GOLDEN.

Andrew is genuinely a sweet prof, however doesn't really make time for students. Math was always my weakest, I found Andrew really fast. We'd cover so much material in just one sitting (Even worse when its an 8 am class lol). He also assigns way too many questions and doesn't really explain some of them. A month in, and i dropped it!

Andrew is definetly the best prof Ive had so far! Hes so nice and knows what hes talking about. If you have the chance, take him for your recitations too! Tests are SUPER fair (sometimes took 20 mins) are worth 20pts each and you can work in groups. Exams are exactly like the recitation questions just different numbers! Easy 100% for recs!

Mr Hare is a really amazing proffesor and he makes cal very easy. I would recommend those who wants to do cal 1250 to register with him. Fun fact ( the finals is mainly the same as your midterm)

Great prof, best math prof I've had so far. I'm not great with calculus but I thought his grading criteria was very fair. I loved the format he chooses for recitations. I'm actually going to be retaking the course with him in hopes of a better grade.

Excellent lectures and recitations. Doesn't go to fast. Explains things clearly and concisely. Occasionally throws in a story or real world example. Kindly does his best to answer all questions.

What can I say: its calc so if you are good at numbers great, if not - you're gonna have to WORK. He's a nice prof and incorporates humour into his lectures, because he knows some this material is hard to comprehend. He can be hard to get a hold of after class (i.e.: I emailed him multiple times and received no response).

Very helpful during his office hours. Genuinely cares about students. Genuinely cares about being understood. Clearly loves the material and understands it very well. Incredibly encouraging. My favourite professor so far.

Kind of intimidating at first, but really nice guy. Lectures are kind of boring, and sometimes I wasn't sure where his speech was going. Helpful and fair.
