He is a hard teacher because he is very critical about his writing, but I did learn a lot from him. I wouldn't take another one of his classes because of how much writing and reading he assigned, but I respect him a lot as a professor.

I LOVED this class. Prof.Evans is fantastic. He's a great teacher, a nice person, and looks just like Santa. Plus we just sang songs and watched presentations every Friday. AWESOME!

Dr. E was my advisor for my freshman year and was honestly the greatest man. He reminds me of Santa in both his looks and personality. He is hard and expects a lot out of you. I was in his SF seminar and I hate science fiction. But he honestly made the topic interesting. He is definitely a hard grader, but his class is worth it.

Really nice and joyful guy, bears a sight resemblance to Santa Claus. Great for those who are in the beginning or intermediate stages of French, not so much if you are advanced. He's a fair grader, assignments aren't too difficult, and neither are exams. Professor Evans is very helpful and always willing to explain things and answer questions.

Had him for the Honors Scholar Science Fiction seminar, he's a great professor. As long as you do the readings, it is basically impossible to fail his class. He is more than willing to give you more sources to look into for your papers/web site if you ask him, but his paper comments are quite depressing...

He is the best French teacher ever! I highly recommend him to anyone taking French. He's very understanding when you don't understand something, when you see him outside of class he speaks English, and you sing songs on Friday. The only bad thing is "les mini-quizzes" every single class, but you get to vote whether you count them or not.

He's a really nice guy and we always had good discussions in class. often overcritical on papers and only pointed out what you did wrong, and doesnt say what you did right. but he's a fair grader and the class was educational as well as fun

A really reat professor! He's always willing to help, and creates interesting ways to teach. He plays his guitar and sings songs he wrote every Friday. He's an easy grader as long as you put into the work. I would definitely recommend trying to get into his French 305 class because it's an easy way to get your S credit.

Fun, interesting class, good discussion leader, but very picky and overly focused on the details when it comes to grading papers. Obsessed with doing background research.
