Betty is awesome, it's hard not to have a great experience in her class because she is such an enthusiastic professor. She's hilarious and has a lot of fun, but you also learn a lot. As long as you keep up with homework assignments and put effort into the work, you'll get a good grade.

She starts every class by passing around candy, very chill. She's funny and the class is pretty manageable if you have other classes to focus on. Would recommend her.

Comment:

Betty is one of those professors that are universally loved. She keeps things simple - she's very clear in not only her speaking, but her general expectations for class. Workload is moderate, not a hard class to maintain if your other courses are more demanding. Her approach to teaching is enthusiastic greatly encourages participation.

I love Betty! Need I say more? Her Latina/Chicana Female Writer's class was amazing. Everyone should take it. Siglo de Oro was not so interesting to me, but she was a great teacher. Always good discussion. She is incredible to talk to outside of the classroom. She became a real in 4 years.

Betty is fantastic!! she's the best professor i've ever had, and is very passionate about her work. she's an incredible woman, always there both in and outside of class. she's very supportive of her students.
