Comment:

Dr. Patterson is a super cool guy and a very smart man. That being said, I do not think he is a good professor. He reads of the slides which makes lectures very boring. In addition, I wasn't a fan of his exams, which test on very specific details that I did not think would be important and which also contain more options than just A-D.

Comment:

Patterson is a really nice and intelligent man. Wasn't a huge fan of him as a prof though. Felt like he put about 5 minutes into preparing his slides, seemed like he didn't care and was unmotivated to put it nicely. Also his final was way out to lunch, having a bunch of questions that had nothing to do with the course. Def gonna try to avoid him.

I garante you that you will ask you why you go to his class because they are so boring. His notes are terrible they are just one broad bolded statement that he talks about for several boring minutes. He was 20 minutes late for his final and on top of that 80% of his final was about extremely small and precise details that were not him his notes.

One of the most full of himself proffs you can get. Besides Brian Pratt of course...Because the uni said 'no more take home exams' he makes his tests brutal long. He has 2 curve his marks but not how u would expect. He makes the exams 'out of less' catering to the highest marks only. s1: 90/100=90% s2: 45/100=45% now, s1 9

I found the class very boring and the material covered was not relatable to life. The tests were hard and there were no guidelines on what to study or emphasize. The endless jokes on tests got old too.

Funny guy what can I say. Great Jokes. Love the funny answers on exams, definately take the edge off and help you relax. Easy to listen to. Some "interesting" stories. Learn about his research as he likes to ask exam questions on it. Got some crazy ideas but awesome guy! Makes class interesting to go to. Brings up some contreversial topics.

Bill knows all, history, science, religion, geology, climate, even farming. Best dressed prof in the U of S too. Very friendly and helpful too. Really likes to discuss things with anybody. Take his courses if you get a chance, but be prepared to work on the exams. You will learn things you can't get anywhere else.

Awesome prof -incredibly intelligent- expects you to work and know the material. He had me thinking about taking a science major just to take more classes from him. His grad students and colleagues are lucky - good score for the UofS.
