Dr. Yarnall is the best professor I've come across at Salve. Extremely knowledgable in art history, he teaches you a new way of looking at and understanding art. Class has a consistent, interesting structure with lectures, film clips, and simple responses. I wouldnt miss out on a class with him.

His class is mostly lecture with film clips and it can be dry sometimes but it's worth sitting through. He assigns questions from the text you can (usually) copy word for word, and the exams are straight from an exam sheet he gives you (all memorization). There are a couple papers thrown in, he takes points off for intros/conclusions so write dry!!

This teacher was horrible. He gives no excuses for ANYTHING, even death in a family!!! He failed me just because we didnot get along. This is an extremely easy class, but the teacher is boring and horrible.

great and fun class, he knows so much. tests are easy, and you look at the buildings around campus. picks on everyone, but he doesn't care if you don't know the answer. very passionate about it.

you will not find someone who knows more about every period of art that there is. he is a walking art encyclopedia and is renouned by major museums such as the MET. if you are stupid, he will definatly let you know though.

Yarnall can often be very mean in class and belittle students in the presense of the whole class. Never try and correct him, it won't be a pretty sight!
