Brian is a great professor and also happens to be the Math Department Chair. This class comes with a lot of work because it prepares you for college algebra. The textbook and Aleks work are mandatory!!!!! Work ahead ALWAYS and come to class. If you are lost he will help you but pushes you to figure out the answer on your own.

Firstly, I take his in-class online class with the ALEKS program (great program by the way) With this program I can usually figure out how to do the problems myself, which I learn from better. But when I don't get something he is very helpful and makes it easy to understand. Also, HIS EYES. omfg he has the most gorgeous eyes. That is all.

Accelerated math class would have been awesome had I kept up with it. Great teacher, can be hard to take if you're not ready to work hard. First time I've ever truly understood math was in his class. Personally don't get along with him, but his teaching skills are top notch.

He is the best math teacher I've ever had. This is also probably the least boring math class I've ever taken, because the teacher is always energetic and humorous. If you don't understand something he will go waaaay out of his way to help you. Grading is tough but fair.

Great teacher, highly recommended. Makes a math class interesting and some what enjoyable. Homework was used as a ticket to take the daily quizzes, which don't amount to much for the grade. Very fair grading, gives tons of partial credit. Also, he wrote the text book used for the class. Down to earth, definitely attractive ;)

First day of class, he may come across as pretty strict and disciplined, but truly a good guy who will take the time to help you outside of class. Homework is not graded, but don't count on class attendance alone. Exams are difficult, but fair and partial credit is given for work leading up to answer. A great teacher and an even better person.
