She is the best finance professor at SHU. Easy grader as long as you fulfill assignment requirements. Make sure you read the case studies carefully. Also, try and get all of them done beforehand, it makes the end of the semester SO much easier.

Comment:

Prof. Lyons is by far my favorite professor at SHU. She is very intelligent and helpful. This was the most stressful and challenging course I have ever taken and I loved every second of it, which was weird. Her teaching style is amazing. If you are taking corporate finance, I highly recommend taking it with her.

Great professor, she really is the best Finance professor at SHU. Class revolves around projects which are very hands on, one project must be presented. She gives excellent feedback and she is always willing to help.

She is by far the best finance professor, while she explains everything extremely well and is the smartest professor I ever had, her class is extremely demanding. If you are trying to get an easy A, Prof. Lyons class is not for you! Tests are open book but still hard, everyone has to do a prestentation.

This is my 2nd time taking this course! I had it once with Amin Abu and got a C- and I just took it with Prof Lyons and got a A-. WHAT A TEACHING STYLE DIFFERENCE!!!, didn't understand a thing "Abu" taught and he didn't care!Yet Prof Lyons made herself available to EVERY student! she is AWESOME just like everyone says! TAKE HER!for a 1 shot deal!

Corporate Finance is probably one of the most important classes you will take as a Finance major. Every company uses as excel. Not only does Professor Lyons make the class interesting, she makes you want to learn. As long as you keep up, you will do well. If you think you can just wing this class, you are in for a surprise. Professor Lyons is great. although the class is hard but if you do your assignments you will do well. Open note/book tests. she gives extra credit works, which can be used toward your tests. She offers help if you seek for help. You will earn a lot about excel...take this class...
