Dietrich is a crazy man. But he knows stuff I don't. I learned so muc h here! He taught me to think about everything. Ive never learned so much in a class. High school didn't prepare me but he hAS. I may not get the grade I want, but I hope I can move forward. Dietrich taught me higher standards!

This course is hard. However, he is willing to work with you on your papers and will help if you ask. He lets you turn in revised papers again and again which will help your grade if you revise. He gives good feedback on papers. Great person and teacher.

Comment:

Dietrich is a wonderful professor who truly pushes his students to do their best. His classes are not easy by any means. However, he's passionate about writing and VERY willing to work with you on your papers. If you didn't take anything away from his classes, it's your fault, not his. His class genuinely pushed me to become a better writer.

Pro Dietrich teaches a hard comp 101 class. He has very high standards and calls for writing/thinking that is outside of the box. However, he is more than willing to walk you through every step-he does an excellent job of letting students know the exact requirements for a paper but at the same time leaving space for creativity and open-mindedness

Dietrich is my all-time favorite professor! Yes, he IS a "sci-fi geek", an English nerd, whatever. He knows what he's doing, and he expects a lot from his students. He's very helpful and full of good writing advice. Also... gotta love that ponytail!

Awesome teacher! Makes you write papers, just as all WRITING teachers do. :P But at least he lets you rewrite them. :D Loving the mythology paper, hope I receive an excellent "A", probably will only get a "C" though. :( What a good teacher, just because you fail the class doesn't mean he's not a good teacher...
