Comment:

Phil Smith is quite simply the best mathematics instructor I have met. He is also very personable, and it shines through in his lectures and one-on-one interactions. His in-class exams are by no means easy, but having him as a lecturer more than justifies this difficulty. I could not recommend him more highly - for any class.

It must be stated that the people who posted bad things about J.P. Smith don't have a single brain cell in their head. He is the best professor in the entire mathematics department. He is VERY helpful, always willing to go above and beyond for his students. Take him every chance you can, you will be better off for it!

Very unclear, never finshes a problem! His exams are horrible very unfair! He is a nice man and perhaps the better prof. of the department that should tell you something about the math ed dept. should give take home exams!!!!!
