There's not much work that you have to do, but she's VERY unorganized. Course schedule shows when each chapter discussion is due but the schedule and the discussions don't match up with the right chapters. The due dates are all mixed up and way off when she expects things to be submitted. she doesn't bother to update the course schedule.

When i say she's a tough grader I mean she's a really tough grader, and she doesn't give any feedback about what was wrong with your assignment so you're left struggling to get things right. I have her for an online summer class, and she makes up for the lack of homework by gouging your grade.

Delong is kind of hilarious, she is completely scatterbrained. She's not much help if you have questions because she'll only confuse herself while trying to explain things to you. For her lab you just show up, complete the assigned pages with your group and then get it checked off and leave. Know your definitions, she has pop quizzes now and then.

Very nice lady. Exams were take home 50 points ea. and map quizzes were easy 20 points ea.(memorization). She gives you 2 excused absences that you must just print out when u email her, to turn in at the end of the semester with your workbook. 10 participation points per day when you show up to class on time and are not disruptive. Awesome class!

Prof Delong is a very nice teacher. She is at times unorthodox but her class is fun and easy. BTW she lets you buy any edition of the book. So she saves you some cash.

Comment:

Professor DeLong is a good professor. She is quick in responding to any your questions, and is lenient in giving you a make up pass if one of your discussion post is late. She was the only geography professor, but she's a good one. Very helpful, very good class to take if you need GE filled.

I took the online accelerated 8 week class on CA geography. Not much to it. Weekly assignment is to answer 4 question of your choice from the assigned chapters of the text. There is also a current events assignment consisting of 10 article summaries & a short research paper. No tests or final. She stays in communication & grades promptly.

She's a little scatterbrained most of the time, but she does know the information she teaches well. Ask questions- this helps, but then you have to remind her what she's doing. Multiple choice Tests are difficult, but you get a sheet of notes- Use it! TYPE YOUR NOTES SMALL PRINT & GET AN EASY A! Map tests are pure memorization. She's very nice.

I took her Geology 101 class. I learned a lot. She allows you to use notes and offers extra credit.I attended every class and every lab and earned an A. I would recommend taking her any chance you could. If you want to learn and like somewhat of a challenge, take her class.

The tests are hard, but you get to bring a full page of notes... front and back... typed if you want... and she gives you a key terms list to base your notes off of... EASY. Map exams are a bit trickier since you can't use notes, but I managed to get 20/20 on each one. Very smart lady, which makes her hard to follow sometimes.

Took her lab class and it was fairly easy. Just make sure to attend because she gives participation points and quizzes almost every class and make sure you work with a group who actually wants to work and get things done. Really easy class to pass if you attend. She's really nice in this class compared to her lecture classes.

i dont give a DAM what the other reveiws say about her in the past, but avoid her class at all cost. fail with a F, her lectures dont teach u anything. and she gives u test. she provides terrible study guids for.. example: shell give you a study guid for how the climate works and the test would be on how eliphants..(bad example but u get my point)

Ms. Delong was a great teacher. I took this class online and loved it. She grades very easy and posts the grades with in a couple days after the assignment is due. She answered all emails in a timely manner. If you want an A just do the work on time.
