This class requires a lot of reading and writing since the professor always has something due for each class meeting. The class also has three papers where she will grade the toughest and is worth the majority of your grade. The workload for this class would be considered a bit heavy and intended for those who want a challenge overall.

Professor Srole loves to teach - it's obvious with her elaborate lesson plans and detailed homework assignments, but this class requires SO MUCH READING. I am very fortunate I was taking only one other class when I took HIST 4860. Nonetheless, I truly feel that I have improved as a writer, reader and listener after taking her.

Her personality makes you want to take her class but if you know you are taking other hard or upper division classes do not take her. Her reading take a lot of time and she is a tough grader on the homework. She does help you improve but her class is stressful.

She is amazing. I learned a lot from her. I feel like I will be a great History teacher because of her. This class is not easy. You really have to work for your grade if you want that A. But it's all worth it because you come up prepared as a future history teacher. I would take classes with her. I recommend her.

May be a tough grader when it comes to essays, but she clearly outlines what you should have in your paper and what she DOESN'T want to see in your papers. Lots of article readings. No exams, just essays and write ups. Does a mix of lecture/activities/films. She will always clarify for you if you ask for help. Super friendly and approachable.

She's friendly. Sometimes she can confuse you. She gives online reading assignments and short video clips. She required my class to print all the assignments and create charts to fill in as groups. 1 essay which counted as the midterm and a final. Overall fun class.

Great powerpoints and discussions! Hands-on samples! She pushes you! Tough grader but always available for consultation and feedback. Make sure you listen to all of her tips! Her syllabus is a great tool and very helpful to write your papers! Do not fall behind in the readings! Pay attention to all of her comments on your work! Extra credit poss.

wow dr. srole is one of the best prodessors i have ever had. she can seem really analannoying about things at first but is actually really helpful. most important is to LISTEN to her advice about assignments. do what she asks and you will pass. an awesome professor and human being. you will learn, take her class.

The class does require 100% of effort and hard work From you. But the teacher grades objectively (she grades your paper with student name covered) based own actual student performance instead of favoritism like many other professors on this campus. She teaches her subject well with comprehensive knowledge and clear explanation.

Dr. Srole is a paradox, she is insanely hard but at the same willing to go out of her way to help you, if you visit her. She is impossible to hate if you get to know her. Her class was an incredible challenge, but at the same time I learned way more than I ever had in a 10 week class. She is a brilliant teacher, please keep her around. Be ready!!

This professor is of the type who would have you believe that US women are unequal to men. She's right, but for the wrong reason: women in the post-Oprah age are as unaccoutable as children and treated as such. This is why we feign shock that Casey Anthony was acquitted; the reality is we should have been shocked if she'd been found guilty.

This professor is demanding and treats her students like little kids. Very unhelpful as well. I missed 2 weeks of class due to a hospitalization. She would not let me make up the work because she said it was to hard for her to allow me to do it. Avoid her at all costs! CSULA needs to get rid of this nightmare ASAP!

Her class was hard, but I don't think that her demands were unfair or unreasonable. Yes, I had to work my ass off, but I learned so much. I'd take another one of her classes in a heartbeat. She's great if you're really interested in the subject, and not just trying to get an easy A with no effort.

She is one of the only teachers who teaches the capstone course. I want to teach high school history, and not be treated like I am in a high school history class. Having to write a summary on the readings is childish. We are in college so we should be trusted to do our readings. Also not a helpful professor and very rude.
