She is a horrible teacher. I study for the test and dont even get 50s. Her lectures make absolutely no sense and her study guides are you going over every single thing she talked about. There is more on the study guide than the notes and thats not an exaggeration

I took this as a WL class so I was obviously expecting to write a lot and there were only 2 papers that were 20 points each. Besides that, the grade came from weekly video quizzes and weekly chapter quizzes. QUIZLET. It seems like it's an easy class but you truly have to do well on the quizzes or they will sneak up on you. Kind of a tough grader.

Dr. Hooey is a brilliant women and is very passionate about what she teaches; nevertheless, her tests are very difficult. If you do not show up to class, pay attention, and study hard then you will not get a good grade. However with that being said, I finished the class with a 95 and learned A LOT.

Dr. Hooey is an absolutely fantastic educator. Her tests are difficult but if you study, you will do totally fine. She lectures like a true teacher. Everything is explained fully and on a level that is 100% understandable. Dr. Hooey respects and cares about her students and their success. One of my favorite professors on campus, loved her!

This is your capstone class if you are a geography major. Dr. Hooey really expects a lot but she makes it easy to deliver. She is just the absolute best teacher in the world. She is always working to help her students succeed. She cares SO much! Respect her, and respect the class and she will just love you. GO TO CLASS!!

I took online geography with her and she was very helpful. I was taking a quiz and my wifi was messing up and it ran out of time. I emailed her telling her the issue and she gladly opened the quiz back up and also extended it for a day.

Dr. Hooey is my favorite teacher at PSU. She loves what she is doing, is interested in your success, and there are only two assignments. She is a tougher grader, but as long as you know how to structure a paper you'll be fine. LOVED her Environmental Geography Class.

Good teacher, sings words during lectures, and keeps you awake through a boring subject most of the time. Didn't really use the book that much. Her tests have a lot of essay questions on them which are kinda hard so it helps to study.
