He is no doubt a very nice, reasonable man. However, he goes on tangents where he discusses irrelevent things to interior design. I was a bit disappointed in the fact that it wasn't a "how to design" course. The tests are easy tho, exactly what's on the review.

Horrible class! There are 4 in class tests that are short answer. If you can cram over 400 meaningless things into your brain, go for it. He is the most arrogant, obnoxious old man ever. He even tells you that he doesn't expect you to remember anything from this class a week after the tests. Avoid this class like the plague!!!!!

Very rude and inconsiderate. He doesn't think anything could be possibly be hard and is very rude to your face in class if you don't understand something. I wouldn't take if you don't have to its not a very good class.

I didn't like him at all. I emailed him with questions about my grade and he was rude and said "don't worry about it." His lectures put me to sleep. Unfortunately he is the only teacher who teaches SFL 102 and 202. I'm dreading taking 202 from him.

I loved this class! It was easy & you actually learned things you can see in real life.Ive taken a class from Stimpson and she is terrible compared to Taylor! You learn the most important parts of design and architec. & the tests are easy.Just make flash cards for each word and there you have it.I recommend him to all my friends & they love him too!

This class is the worst ever. There are 4 test in class, from slides. its really hard to do well. Bro. Taylor is nice but really behind the times.

Lectures were pretty boring. I did find the architecture details interesting and the history, but I thought the tests were a little ridiculous. Especially when Prof. Taylor would take off for Spelling. It was a fairly easy course, but extremely boring.

Professor Taylor is probably one of the most boring teachers ever. I could not stay awake in that class no matter what I tried. Fairly easy class but sooo boring and pointless. Do not take it if you actually want to learn anything other than vocab words.

I genuinely enjoyed this class. You learn architecture, interior design, and the historical background of the major periods. To do well, take extremely thorough copious notes and then memorize them for the test. Your whole grade is based on your four test scores. Tests are not multiple choice- he asks them verbally based off of his slides.

There is no book, only very poor handouts, and you have to take notes on everything! Prof Taylor seems to know what he's talking about, but if you ask him a question beyond his lecture, he has no idea. A lot of times he doesn't even know where he got his examples. He's also very repetetive in his explanations. He's ready to retire.

You have to be a designer to get an A in his class. He grades you by whether he likes your design or not. You don't use the textbook at all and you don't even need to come to class that much. However, don't expect to get an A because it's up to him and what he thinks is good design. Spend lots of time and work on the final project to do well.

You have to attend class to be able to get a good grade. Lectures were interesting to me because I like learning about this stuff, but if you don't, don't take the class. The lectures will give you all the answers to the four exams. That's all your grade consists of. Make sure to study the handouts and use the website. No book! Yay!

This class was hard. You have to be really good at memorizing everything he says because there isn't a book. There are only 4 tests and no assignments which make the tests really important to do well. Tests are stressful.

Brother Taylor is a great teacher- very helpful and knowledgeable in design. But this class is completely subjective. You have to actually be good at design and putting colors together to get an A in the class. He will grade you based off of his opinion, so don't expect to just do all the assignments and do well. Final project is a lot of work!

this class wasn't what i expected it to be. there's only one section on interior design, the rest focuses on architecture and then a few pieces of furniture from each era.4 tests,10journals, pretty easy. attenance is impt. memorize the list he gives you. test is hard if you don't study. good teacher. can be hard to focus at 8am, though.

I LOVED the two classes I took of his! With his historical architecture class you do have to take good notes & study to do well, but I learned so much. Home design was awesome--the final project is time consuming, but really cool once it's finished. If you are really interested in design (not just an easy A), take his classes!!

Prof. Taylor's classes are structured the same way. If you attend class and memorize everything, you will get an A in the class. You either know the material or you don't, there is really no messing around. He is very helpful and willing to clarify on anything. There is so much information- I loved his classes.

This class was a breeze, If you can memorize at least decently, you will do fine. Tests are just regurgitations of lectures. They are all fill in the blank questions so you need to memorize but the class lectures were very boring, if you miss class, you won't do well.
