I think this class is easy to take it in IN CLASS rather than ONLINE. I took it in class and i got A+, but my friend she was taking it online with the same prof she got D. I had only 4 non cumulative test NO FINAL. for my friend 3 assignments and cumulative final exam . tooo easy for A/A+ (A+ is 92% A 85%)

Comment:

Took this as an online class. Three papers that weren't that difficult. You just need to follow the instructions. She marks tough but I'd say it's fair. She responds to questions very quickly. I would take another class with her.

Comment:

Would absolutely not recommend taking the online class. It is 3 essays and a final which are easy enough, however, she takes a ridiculous amount of marks off for the slightest mistakes in APA format. Ex. receiving 0/2 for not double spacing an otherwise correct reference page. Enjoyed writing the papers but this killed the class. Heed this warning!

Loved this prof, she is the best! She is very nice and deeply cares for the success of all her students. 4 non-cumulative tests (no final) and participation through tophat which means attendance is mandatory if you want that 5%. She hands out a study sheet with questions that will be asked on each test. All the lecture notes are from the textbook

very nice prof, makes the content interesting by showing good videos about the topics. the mark breakdown 4 tests (worth 20%/25%/30%/20%), and online top hat participation (worth 5%). she gives a good review for each test with all of the material needed.

Shes amazing! Super nice. Shes very straightforward and will tell you whats gonna be on the tests. She gave us a review sheet a week before the tests. If you answer it, youll definitely do great in the course Attendance is not mandatory but i find that she explains the topic, in a way you can easily understand.

It's a lot of content for each test, but good thing about that was that the tests were all non-cumulative, and she gave us a review sheet a few days before the test so we knew what to study. She made us do a research summary, which was quite harshly graded. However, she's super nice and is always open to hearing your thoughts!

Cheryl is an amazing prof! She truly cares about her students and would go to any lengths to help them. I would definitely take a class with her again! There is not one bad thing I can say about her, she is amazing!

Cheryl is the most caring professor you will ever meet. I remember being in first year and being quite intimidated by her, but she is an exceptional professor who is professional and genuinely wants her students to be the best they can be. I learned a lot from her, not only course material but life lessons you can take with you until you graduate!

Cheryl's not unreasonable with her expectations, she's clear what she wants & even provides rubrics from the start & is a very objective marker. You get what you put in, that's FAIR not tough. She's happy to give advice, wants you to do well & always responds right away. However for the final its essential to complete the review sheet she provides.

Do Not Take, I cannot believe that anyone says they would take. The textbook is horrible and prof chose; it is sexist and says that immigrants cannot speak English when they come to Canada, research is from the 80s. Prof does not give clear responses to questions and takes forever to answer emails, not what I expected for online class, don't take

This class is basically all by the text. If you keep up with your readings you will do well. Cheryl also gives out a rubric for her tests the second last class before the actual test. She gives plenty of time, lectures are clear, and is straight forward. You would have to really not care to fail this class.

Comment:

Professor Fraehlich is one of the best professors I have had. She wants her students to do well and teaches everything in a very clear and concise matter. As long as you know the slides and read the textbooks her tests are very straight forward and fair. The content in Fmly 1000 is very interesting and straightforward.

It was a very easy but interesting course. She makes the lectures very interesting and its fun to go to class. It is ALOT of reading but you really learn alot and I really enjoyed this prof.

Comment:

4 non cumulative tests each worth 25%, no final exam. She gives an outline before every test describing every question you will be asked. Going to class is not mandatory as she posts her notes, the textbook is crucial though! Possibly one of the easiest classes I have ever taken. Material is common sense.

Comment:

Professor Fraelich was an awesome professor. She was very quick to answer any e-mails I sent to her. You have to read, and she does give you the occasional hint in class about something that will be on the test, so it is helpful to attend classes. She gave very clear outlines of what would be on the exam, and wanted them to succeed.

Cheryl explains everything in such a condensed manner. She doesn't ramble on about her personal life nor goes off topic. She sticks to the points you are required to know + emphasizes what's on the exams. Read the textbook b.c A LOT of questions are drawn from information in it. She also gives a review for what specifically will be on the exam!

She is an amazing professor, would definitely recommend taking fmly 1000 with her. Definitely an easy A/A+. She even hands out study outlines for possible test questions. She is also quite a funny and friendly professor!
