Comment:

Ms. Tassone is a difficult professor to work with, but is kind. Communication is not her strong suit, but she does eventually get back to you. I took an 8-week class with her and it was a disaster in terms of organization (the syllabus even said 14 week). There are 2 quizzes, 1 primary source, and one map for each chapter. It is a lot of reading.

She will go out of her way to explain anything you don't understand and tries to cater to different types of learning styles. She actually cares about her students and making sure they have the tools needed to succeed.

Okay, so this lady talks too much about her dogs for one. Second, she relies so much on videos instead of actually lecturing. We're 11 weeks in the semester and she has lectured three times. Honestly, wouldn't take her class again.

Worst teacher i have had at this school. I don't learn anything from this class, I've just learned to do my work. In class she talks about the chapter you have already finished. Not the one your working on at home. She seems not interesedt in helping when you email her and leaves rude side comments in her emails.

Tassone is definitely one of a kind. If you do not like group work, do not take this class. I was stuck with a group of young men who did not want to do anything and was penalized due to the fact that they did not show up for our presentation. The one time she did lecture-it was wonderful. My grandmother had her and she said it was awful too!

Most unorganized individual I have met. Completely scatter brained. One assignment required students to travel to a welcome center for a map. Seriously? Avoid this one at all costs.

Expect a lot of work, hope that the students taking her class don't have a job to get things done. She's very delayed when it come to the response times, even though in the syllabus it says 24 hr response expect a response within 2 to 3 days.

Ms. Tassone is not a Great Professor. She does not let anyone know when she is doing things like um removing assignments that the syllabus says you have two more weeks to complete. You call her on the phone and she laughs because she removed them and did not tell anyone and then tells you you can do them during amnesty week. REALLY NOT GOOD

Organized is definitely not a word to describe this professor. She can be pretty dense and her blackboard is as scrambled as a 1st grader's backpack. She uses terrible font color combinations (ex pink font on green background, red on blue, its enough to make a students brain explode! Out of all my classes she had 4x the amount of homework!

Mrs. Tassone is a nice lady but when it comes to teaching she is not very clear. Unless you email her, she does not update students on changes in the curriculum nor does she update grades (even when you DO email her!).

My sister had a horror story with this lady getting an A she had earned and Mrs. Tassone gave her a C in the class. She had to go over the teacher's head and turn in boat loads of homework and tests to have it corrected. I got an A in her class, but the amount of work is rather dense, weird homework portfolios and all kinds of nonsense. Take Paden

Worst teacher I have ever had. I had to drop the class because she had a bad day and got very personal with me. When it was the rest of the class complaining about how the class was so bad and a waste of time. I should have went to the dean but I moved after the incident.

Great teacher, very involved with her students and admires class participation. Students keep a binder of work completed and her syllabus is clear what needs to be in it. Vital to keep up with the work - she watches carefully who does or not. She grades accordingly. She's very passionate about her History.

Absolutely incompetent. Never graded anything, never received feedback of any kind, and never answered emails! Forgot to leave tests at testing center, forgot to inform class about changes in syllabus, and forgot to inform class about changes in grading rubrics! I have no idea if I am getting and A or not! AVOID!!!

Terrible teacher. She's very nice, but she's awful at explaining what we're supposed to be doing and when to have it done by. I could have learned much more just by reading the textbook for two or three hours a week.

Mrs Tassone's teaching style is just a little- well, different. In 101, she had us do everything in groups and we were rarely required to actually finish anything we started. It was more like busy-work. In 102, it's more independent. She is very easy to get along with.
