Comment:

The first half of the semester was easy but the whole structure of the class was sub optimal. Class was usually first half lectures (which were insufferable) and second half coding. As the material became difficult I gave up on learning and only aimed for an A. The professor uses lots of jargon and is nice and knowledgeable but not a great teacher.

Comment:

Chris is a great professor, but tends to get off track a lot throughout lectures. As long as you stay with him the information is actually very useful. He is always available outside of class and he is always willing to help you. My only complaint about him is he grades things very late. Other than that he is a great professor.

If you are taking his classes to actually learn something, you will be seriously disappointed. My educational goal was to take these classes to gain required knowledge for a career in computers, what I got was a professor that only showed up to class half the time, graded all assignments the last week of the semester, never completed projects.

Despite some personal problems with his family this semester, he was always very caring and helpful, and he seemed very passionate about his work. My only complaint would be that we just didn't have enough time to cover everything that he wanted to teach. Strongly reccomend

Really cool professor one of the best at MJC. He works with you and actually knows the class can be difficult. He gives the ability to take time on labs and test. There are no surprises what he teaches in the book was on the test. If you are going into computer science you should take this professor at least once.

Chris is an excellent professor when it comes to CS. He cares about his students, always available to answer questions they may have. His classes are long, but he makes them entertaining. He does go out of the book for a lot of things, but its to show new things that you might find interesting. Hw was from the book and was straight forward.

Good teacher, terrible subject! But its required. MJC needs to up its game with a more modern language (Java or at least C#/.Net) Time to ditch vb, just not relevant anymore.

Chris Vaugh is knowledgeable is his field of teaching, he has studied and worked for many years, so he has a deep understanding in the material. His classes mostly consists of lectures and in class programing, you will sometimes have quizzes and assignments at home. Overall he is a good teacher and would recommend.

Great Guy. Really good programming teacher. Teaches you a lot of the business theme of programming and software dev. As long as you complete canvas assignments and follow along in class and lecture you will be fine. Very interesting subject, good class.

Very helpful professor. In order to fail his class you really have to try. As long as you are putting in some effort you should pass and he will definitely be there for any questions or concerns you may have. Overall great experience in this class.

Great guy. Learned a lot from him. Only thing, we lost a lot of time and didn't complete a lot of assignments because he had to miss class a few days. Would like to thank him for his help on planning my career in computers and all his praise on my work.
