Comment:
Prof Muenzer was definitely an interesting guy, but the class was kind of a mess. The syllabus changed almost weekly and he never posted grades on Courseweb so you didn't knew where you stood grade-wise until you got your final grade at the end of the semester. Would not recommend unless you are very passionate about German literature.

Dr. Muenzer is a caring, kind, old man. The class was supposed to be conducted entirely in German, but he lets students cop out and use english both in class and on almost every assignment. As a result, my German ability definitely declined this semester. Comes off as an easy grader, but ends up grading quite harshly. Think he's retiring soon, so..

This course could have been amazing, but it was organized so poorly that nobody could follow along. Clark changed the syllabus so many times throughout the semester that it became a battle to even understand the expectations, which also changed weekly and left grading completely up in the air.

Muenzer is a truly likable man. He makes every effort to be accommodating and will frequently solicit feedback with genuine interest. My beef with him was that he was very flaky; it was hard to gauge his expectations from us, and he probably changed the syllabus 5 times throughout the semester. I suspect his graduate courses would be better.

Dr. Muenzer is a very intelligent man and a talented literary critic. His ideas tend to be very abstract, but he communicates them well. Readings were extremely interesting. Easy to prepare for exams. Dr. Muenzer was willing to read and critique my own creative writing. His insights truly allowed me to see literature in a new way. Would recommend.

Good class. Spoke English in class due to the complexity of the subject matter. He is open to suggestions, honest, and experienced in his field. Pay attention in class, and keep up with the readings.

Horrendously boring. Brings up ideas in lectures we don't have anything to say about. Annoying habit of speaking to try to make what he says sound profound. Makes you lose interest. Class was only 10 or 11 honors students, but nobody said much. Non-kafka readings poorly integrated. Dept Chair.
