May come off as "mean" at first, but he is a very good guy. Sets out his expectations clearly and right from the start -- if you don't listen, it's your fault. Strict but fair. Made a dry class interesting and fun. Fair marker. Just come to lectures, do your work and study for the mid-term and final -- and you'll have no problem getting an A!

I hated Beddoes as a prof. Not only does he seem to have very little interest in the subject material, he's also self-absorbed and not particularly friendly or helpful. Basically, his mantra is "I already got my eng. degree, I don't have to know this" except that he also writes difficult tests. (it doesn't matter much whether you study or not btw.)

Excellent lecturer. Very good speaker. Holds your attention. Course material not too difficult and this guy tells great stories and examples/case studies. But... one on one very inapproachable. Not very helpful if you have a question. Mean.
