I took Duffy for Eng 101 over summer. He's super nice and has an interesting sense of humor. He had us get this book called "the little seagull" that was focused on different formats for essay writing. We also had to do online hw to show that we "know" how to use different formants and can identify different sentence errors. I'd take him again.

Stay away from this professor. Hes a tough grader and he critiques everything. He tries to confuse students on his quizzes and tests. He likes to see students struggle so he could pretend hes Albert Einstein!!! I did everything to earn an A in his class. I went to his office hours for guidance but he was very vague with me unlike my classmates.

Duffy is one of the best professors I've ever had. I took his English 101 class this summer and he managed to squeeze in a lot of wonderful reading and interesting lectures in a short period of time without it feeling overwhelming. His lectures are clear and interesting and he is a very available and kind person if you need help with subject matter

Duffy is an amazing professor. Honestly cares about his students and it shows. His lectures are very organized and tests are very fair, almost easy. Just do the reading and review your essays in office hours beforehand and you should be good to go.

Dr. Duffy is a good teacher and very intelligent, but his class was not an easy A. He covered everything that was going to be on the quizzes, but the multiple choice can be pretty tricky. Really take advantage of his office hours because he really gives good feedback for essays. Articles needed to do the essays on were also quite lengthy. No hw

Dr. Duffy makes it very clear that attendance will cost you. He also wants participation and students to ask questions. He is a tough grader and wants to see improvement in your writing. Of course, he gives a lot of feedback on what you need to improve. There are no make-up quizzes. Overall he's a good professor and I really enjoyed his class.

Dr. Duffy is really awesome. he's so straightforward and fair in his grading. if you go to his office hours he will tell you exactly where your work needs improvement. I looked forward to going to his class he would spark really creative and engaging discussions. all his work is exactly what he shows in class no tricks

I enjoyed this course. He gives a lot of notes, make sure to copy. All the material needed to pass the quizzes / final / canvas entries are in the notes. His syllabus is on point and can't be any clearer. NO excuses. He's more on the serious side but I enjoyed his class. Good professor. I would take another class if I get the opportunity.

His lectures are amazing. He really prepares you for ENG 101. if you study your notes you will be fine for the tests. he is just tough on the essays. even though he doesn't give lots of essays, you have to be perfect on them. for every small mistakes that you make you will lose lots of points. so be aware of that.

Duffy is a very fair grader. He will tell you what you need to work on and you really need to abuse the office hours. He's open to questions and never stops talking about how much of a bad movie Zoolander 2 is. He's a great guy though and awesome professor. Would definitely take him again. Be aware though that you need to do the work.

He does give quizzes but they are easy as long as you take good notes and study them. On his second quiz he let us take it with a partner. He is very nice and approachable. His final was very easy. It was only 20 multiple choice and two essay questions. He makes his lectures engaging and will be willing to look at your essay as much as you need.

Duffy's Honors 103 class was pretty chill. Like any other English class, get ready to read and write papers, but you can always review papers with him before turning them in to make sure you get and A. He always lets you know what you are doing wrong and really pushes you to fix your writing flaws. I really wish he put grades on Canvas though.

Duffy is a really nice person. He teaches all the basics and more. After taking his class, you'll be ready for whatever college has to offer. Wish I could take one of his classes again!
