Professor Stevens is a very interesting teacher. You will definitely have to work hard, get that into your head. But going to his office hours, SI, and asking questions in lecture, and putting in the hard work? You can earn an A. But work for it.

I loved anatomy. I ended up with an A, but only because how much I studied. He is not a clear teacher in lecture but his office hours and open labs etc. are very accessible and he has so much to say during those, all you have to do is ask.

Be prepared because this class is extremely challenging and takes a lot of time and dedication. Most people get C's. If you're not willing to work hard, rethink taking this course. Professor Stevens is a really nice guy and is more than willing to help and explain things. Take advantage of office hours, open lab, and SI.

Great guy really, but he doesn't do very well at teaching. In lecture he is kind of all over the place. It would be easier if he gave you notes to go along with him that were in order. In lab, he was super helpful and that is when I really felt like I was learning. He knows a ton about the subject.

He's a nice guy and clearly understands anatomy but he's not a very good teacher. Anatomy is hard on it's own so it's difficult to succeed in his class when he's still using a projector. If you go in to his office hours and he knows your face you'll do well in the class.

Prof. Stevens is kind and available to help you if you seek it out. You CAN get an A in the class but it takes a lot of self studying and determination. The subject itself requires effort to understand so when you are confused, ASK- don't hesitate!

Prof. Steven's is a great person, yet this class is super hard. He goes into random topics you probably wont need for a test. I HIGHLY recommend going to open lab/SI if it's provided. Go to EVERY CLASS/LAB & READ! He is very helpful and will explain things to you if you don't understand them during his office hours. He does care! Good Luck

Professor Stevens is great! A TON of self-studying is involved (your book is your friend & be sure to buy the atlas), but if you are puzzled just ask. He's very informed of the material and is eager to answer your questions. I believe that he explains the material better one on one vs during lecture. All he really wants is for you to succeed!

Dr. Stevens is a great guy, but be prepared to do a LOT of self studying. Read your textbook and study it til you can't read anymore. Some of the answers to the questions on the tests can be found in the book where he may not have specified in lecture or in his notes. GO TO LECTURE. Its a great help to recap information

Professor Stevens is the sweetest person and he knows the material, but he is not great at teaching it. During lecture he will go off on tangents and will go on to discuss other material and then tell you, after you have absorbed it, that you do not need to know it. The book is essential to your grade in the class. Good Luck, you will need it!

I had Stevens for Anatomy (Bio 113) and he was not the best professor. The class is really difficult, be prepared to study a ton for practicals and midterms. If you study a ton, you should be able to be at the upper end of the curve and be alright. At the beginning of the semester, the lecture doesn't help, read the textbook

It's not that professor Stevens is hard, it's that the material he teaches takes effort to understand and remember. He is helpful if you seek help, he's not a mindreader. There is so much to get through in this class that the effort required to get a good grade is higher than average. He teaches this class the best it can be done.

Professor Stevens is the sweetest & most brilliant person, but he is a very confusing teacher. Expect to basically teach yourself the material. Pray for a C & don't expect to learn much from the lectures. Study the book. Good luck, you'll need it.

I loved both Dr. Stevens and his class. He was a quick witted man who never failed to make me laugh. Go to his office hours. You'll be swimming in knowledge by the time you leave his doors. He definitely was one of the best teachers I have ever had. If you are willing to put in the time, take the class!

Prof Stevens is very nice and really knows his subject, and i got an A but i really doubt if i learned very much in his class, his tests are mostly about getting used to his thinking so you don't get tricked, then you immediately forget everything.

Sure, it's not "impossible" to get an A but expect to spend a CRAZY amount of time studying for this class if want that grade. For me, I had to study about 20-25 hours for each test. It could be more or it could be less for you. Stevens is one of the NICEST, most approachable professors I've ever had so always ask him for help whenever you need it.

People say it's impossible to get an A in his class. Let me tell you -- it IS possible. Study his lecture notes and go to class if you want an A. His tests are tricky, but as long as you studied and read carefully, it's not that hard. If you're taking physio too, then taking anatomy should reinforce the learning. Good class overall!

very nice old guy, who cares about his students and loves his subject, but he's more than a little scattered and reschedules midterms so that they're a week early, someone's also got to tell him his jokes in class are inappropriate and that he shouldn't be touching students. even if it's just a pat on the back.
