Comment:
Cyndy was lecture heavy and required you to write several papers. Although, she's passionate about what she teaches, she makes you work for your grade. Meaning your paper might be bomb to you and other people, but if it's not her style; you'll get a bad grade. She gives tons of reading, quizzes and test.

Cyndy's a really nice person and she did make the class very interesting. However, we did have a lot of attendance tasks and sometimes weren't interesting. Her take-home exams are very lengthy and can take many hours to complete over the week, even if they have just 10 questions. She grades them pretty harshly. For finals, we had 7 or 8 tasks.

She has passion, but that's about it. Her tests which are her main grading area are extremely tough even though they are take home. We're talking you need to do all your research or get a D. She is always disorganized and you'll never know your grade til the end of the semester. Avoid this class if your taking it as an elective.

I loved Dr. C's lectures! She's a really cool person and she makes her lectures interesting. The class involved a lot of textbook reading outside of class, but Dr. C tells you exactly what to look for. The class isn't that hard if you put the effort into it. The notecards for all tests and quizzes saved my life.

Cyndy seems great, but her exams are way too detail-oriented. The about of info she expects you to remember is ridiculous, even with the index card you're allowed. Along with that you're supposed to write an essay based on an article which you read outside of class. So be ready to teach yourself a lot she doesnt cover in the lectures.

Media Literacy and Popular culture. Good teacher, terrible class material. Grade relies very heavy on exams given throughout semester. Hands down hardest and most tedious tests I've ever taken- and they were take home exams! If you're taking this as part of your ICC theme requirements, take a different class and not this 1. You will hate yourself.

Cindy prides herself on giving excellent feedback, yet gave the same vague feedback on every test I took. It's a lot of work for a 100 level course. She relates many topics back to her personal life. I went to multiple office hours and she called me by the wrong name every time. Make sure to do all extra credit opportunities, they help a lot!

Developmental Psychology wasn't that bad. She was an interesting and engaging professor. The quizzes and the tests weren't impossible, I took it as a first semester freshman and it wasn't awful. However I went to every class and I took a easier version in highs chool (honors psych) so that definitely helped. Her projects and papers were hard though

I wouldn't recommend this class for those who do not major in psychology. It's not that it's a horrible class. It's just that there's a lot of things to remember for developmental psych. Especially for exams. Overall, Dr. C is a great professor. It's the subject itself that's more difficult.

Cyndy always has detailed notes on the presentations which makes the information very clear. Buy the latest copy of the books otherwise your page numbers and some of the readings won't match up. Buying the book (and reading before tests) is a must even though she lets you bring a notecard cheat sheet to each one.

Awful teacher seems like a great lady. You can tell she loves what she does but she lets the textbook teach for her and doesn't clarify anything. Lectures are almost pointless to go to but if you don't you won't get attendance credit. Tests are way too long and too detail oriented.

She's passionate to say the least, but you'd think that'd give her some motivation to actually try and help us. She doesn't seem to grade anything ever. It's May and I have no clue how I'm doing in her class. For our FINAL assignment we're supposed to reflect on an assignment we did in FEBRUARY but we cant' yet, because she hasn't graded it yet !

A very energetic woman who is REALLY passionate about media literacy. This class is full of activities, homework assignments, and tests. The content is interesting, but it doesn't go very in-depth. Take notes on the readings and lectures - you'll need them for the take home tests. She's lenient on the first exam, but she sets clear expectations.

Her class is very easy if you have previous knowledge of the subjects i.e.: AP psych in high school. She is a very sweet lady, and a pretty lenient grader, but her there are a lot of tests and exams. You need to have the textbook because everything she does comes from there.

Quite disorganized when it comes to grading homework. It took her months to get back my first assignment. Her tests are hard, even with the 3x5 index card she lets you bring as a cheat sheet to the quizzes, tests, and the final. This class is very demanding and I would not recommend taking it unless you have a large interest in developmental psych.

Pretty easy class. If you do most of the readings and go to class you'll be fine in the class. Not much of the material needs interpreting, if you can memorize it the tests will be easy for you. Also hosts online review sessions before exams that were pretty useful.

Dr. C was a fun teacher but cares more about the test then you actually learning. The class is easy to pass with a b- if you go to every class and take massive notes from the lecture and reading. DO the reading!!!!

She does not test you on materials covered in lecture. Instead, she asks you about insignificant, precise information from irrelevant readings. She is very disorganized - It is December and I have received 0 assignment grades. Find an easier class if it's not counting towards your major.
