Comment:

Nice lady but boy she will put you to sleep. But this was in the beginning of the semester - it took me awhile to get use to her teaching method, that's why. Showing up was "mandatory" to get credit even though some students didn't come at times because roll call became inconsistent. Only 2 papers & long ones too. I wouldn't take her again though..

This class was interesting. The instructor was great. Her lectures cover everything you need to know as they are basically a recap of what you are reading in the text. She is very helpful and available for questions after class if needed. 2 papers, no exams. Take good notes. Don't miss class. You will do fine.

Comment:

Contemporary Painting History. What a sweet and friendly instructor! I loved her lectures. Very informative. I learned so much about modern art. This class is a required class for studio art majors. If you don't miss a class and take excellent notes, you won't even have to read much. Only 2 papers: (10 pages). No tests or quizzes. I loved her!

Comment:

The most interesting art history class I have ever taken. She's an artist and her lectures are from that perspective- so she's passionate and understands process/materials. The negative comments are probably from non-art majors who were never interested anyway, or boring, dry art history majors who only want to memorize slides.

Awful. Total waste of your tuition. Lady knows nothing about materials, techniques, or processes used. Nothing she says in class is noteworthy, or relevant about the art in her slides. Its hard to believe she has any education in Art History. The papers are easy, but keep in mind you'll have to more or less teach yourself for the essay questions.

Her voice is annoying and she makes pointless jokes. She must love to watch people sleep because she can put you out in an instant. She needs to get a mic because no one can hear her speak. The Blackboard section of the class is completely empty. If you must take the class, just read the book. How did she even become a professor?!?

Terrible, terrible professor. It must not take much to become one these days all you have to do is read off a PowerPoint and spell the words that are CLEARLY VISIBLE on it. DO NOT TAKE! First of all, she has a BS in Computer Science-why is she teaching art history? She is very boring, and her voice is extremely annoying to listen to for 80 minutes. The class itself is easy, but I do not every plan on taking her again. Plus she typically just lectures on what the book already told you. Total waste of time.

NOt bad as far as enthusiasm, but sometimes ambiguous about her point...and considering she has a BS in Computers it a shamefull that not ONE thing pertaining to the class is online! The additional readings could be on e-reserve, then web ct for the slides and class info- not that hard.Her tests in Survey were ok, but paper grading is confusing!

I was too young and too overwhelmed by her raw sex appeal and passion for art to retain much of the lectures. She's bright and magnificent. Force yourself to do the reading.

This is about one of the goofiest chicks to ever teach art, she is not to high on the hottness scale, the only thing she has going for her is her figure. Don't take her unles you are going to dream about other teachers cause she will put you to sleep.
