Comment:

Worst Instructor EVER! Very monotone, boring, and unclear. Her exams are REALLY hard even the lab exams. She has both lab and lecture exam on same days! Lab exam was a piece of random muscle pulled off of model asking what it is and you have to identify it if it is left or right and the muscle name spelled correctly. There are about 150 questions.

Comment:

Lectures are long, she is very monotone. Lab exams are impossible if you do not study. She gives you lecture notes for all lecture exams, if you study the notes you will do fine. I guess the main thing is to STUDY the material she gives you, there are no surprises.

This is by far the HARDEST class I have even taken. The lecture portions of the exams are extremely difficult. I would study for hours and still only get 80% which is FAILING somehow. She makes her own exams, quizzes, and her grading scale. I do NOT recommend this class!!!

Monotone... You will be falling asleep by the first hour in. Kay breezes through the long lecture notes in two hours. The online homework has nothing to do with what will be on the tests. And she makes the homework due a week after the test but really expects you to do the homework prior to the test and clearly shows anger. will not take again.

All her classes are on her lecture notes. Four chapters per exam plus lab exam same day. Some of the lecture notes are 3 to 8 pages, so you do need to go over and study all lecture notes. For the lecture exams you do need to study all the notes due to no study guide, so you do feel overwhelmed before the exams. I wouldn't take the class again.

She gives you everything you need to pass the exams. She passes out lecture notes that are detailed & the exams are taken right from the lecture notes. This is not a substitute for reading & memorizing the material. This class is very difficult, but that's by design & is in no way the instructors fault. She's willing to help anyone at any time.

You have to memorize all lecture notes, no test reviews to go over, and and if you ask a question she responds yes or no. Very unhelpful. You need an 83% for a B- to pass. Theres alot to remember for whole body at a time, does not test on sections of body seperate. AND SPELLING US A MAJOR COMPONENT OF PASSING!

PLEYTE is a overall good teacher. A bit monotone but is very clear & straight forward. She is very imformative & educated. She will answer all your questions & not move forward unless everyone is catching on. 1 thing I absolutely loved about her class was that she recorded ALL of her lectures! I wish I could have a prof. like her for all my classes

Very knowledgeable! A little reserved, but approachable and seems to want students to pass her class. Love that she gives exams on lecture notes, so you know what to expect. The material she covers is pertinent and you don't feel overwhelmed as with other instructors. Her grading scale is VERY stringent--so KEEP UP!

If you are taking Basic Anatomy, Definitely bring your laptop. She was a very nice lady & thorough but she is extremely boring. All you need to do to pass is know your parts list/body parts shown in the text book & lecture notes/handouts, as well as your connect assignments. Good Luck. Hardest course I ever took.

Dr. Pleyte is an excellent professor for both semesters of A&P. I love that she uses CONNECT for homework. Exam and quiz material come straight from lecture notes so there are no surprises. She does a review before exams giving sample questions and puts recordings of all her lectures on Blackboard. She gives you what you need for a good grade.

Dr. Pleyte is a wonderful teacher. She gives notes in class and bases her tests off just those notes. Hardly any textbook reading. Lots of hands-on lab time. She has a quiet voice, so unless you have excellent hearing, sit near the front! Highly recommended!!

I don't believe Kay Pleyte is very helpful at all. I think she tries but I don't think she's cut out to be a teacher. She teaches us with a outline from her notes and basically just takes her outline and puts it on the board. Some people need hands on learning too! She's a horrible teacher.

Dr.Pleyte is not always clear and sometimes comes off as shy. However, if you need her help she is always there to clerify what she is teaching. The problem is usually students dont ask the right questions at the right times.

She is the worst professor I have ever had. She is extremely unhelpful and unclear. We get lecture notes (that she got off the books website) and we're expected to go frem there on our own, without her help. This Class was like independent study!!!!
