I took Prof Cullen for HIST1302 and absolutely loved the class! I don't like history and thought I wouldn't like this class, but it was great! The tests were not difficult. He made sure everyone was well prepared for them by going over everything thats going to be on them. Tests are multiple choice plus a short essay. Take this class!

Comment:

Prof Cullen is a really interesting teacher. He's funny. He kept our classes short which I very much appreciated. This didn't effect my grade either. If you pay attention, study his lecture outline, read the chapters, you'll do well on the tests. Only 5 tests that make up the grade, last 2 were multiple choice only.

Comment:

Wonderful professor! I have taken two History classes with him and have never regretted it. Other than for tests I don't remember staying for the duration of the entire class period. Dr. Cullen talks fast. He knows his stuff. So be ready to take notes quickly. He is very passionate, caring, and makes History fun! Hard work will pay off

Professor Cullen is hilarious and straight to the point, you have absolutely no reason to make anything less than an A in this class. He tells you exactly whats on the test. Tests are 20 points with a short answer question. Straight from the lecture. No book needed don't take him if you can't take a joke. He makes learning fun, wish he taught 1301!

Probably the easiest class I've taken at Collin. Fast paced 30 minute lecture. Tells you literally exactly what is on the exam. You don't need the textbook. Attendance not required but strongly recommended. Easy A if you put the effort in (which isn't much). You don't even have to try for a B.

Amazing! Best teacher I have ever had. 5 tests only, 20 multiple choice and an essay question that he tells you in advance. Gives a review and full review day. Does not take role, but lectures are very helpful to pass the test. There is not a day I didn't laugh in his class. He let us out of class super early.

Prof. Cullen is great, I looked forward to each class because they were short and funny. I enjoyed his addition of the cultural and presidential thought processes instead of just dates and name memorization. I suggest recording the lecture (because it is a lot of info within 45 minutes) Then go back and read over his outlines.

He gives fastest and funniest lectures, 30-45min of class. pretty detailed lectures. no quizzes or assignements, only exams. It's a really simple class and easy to get an A. This teacher will make you love history.

Professor Cullen is great! He keeps your attention very well by adding some humor to the lectures, and I found him to be quite hilarious. His lectures are short, but very concise and to the point. His tests are really easy, you barely have to study. I would recommend him to anybody and would definitely take him again.

I love Dr. Cullen! He is excellent! Five tests consisting of 20 multiple choice questions followed by an essay. Great study guides for each test. I recorded all of his lectures and actually enjoyed listening to them again. Every class is 30 minutes or less. One was actually 15 minutes. He is hilarious too. I loved his sarcasm!

Took him for Fall 2014 and he's one of the best professor's at Collin so far. Explains material very well. Is willing to answer questions. Lectures are pretty fast pace but very understandable. You have no excuse to not pass this class. It's an easy A. As long as you attend every class and take notes to whatever he's says, you'll do fine.

Be sure to pay attention and take really good notes. Though he doesn't take attendance, you really must show up as there are only about 5 classes between each test. His tests aren't the easiest, but if you pay attention in class and take good notes, you will do fine. He is very knowledgeable about the subject and tries to make the class less boring

MUST TAKE! Dr. Cullen is HILARIOUS - even at 8AM. Lectures are shortto the point and clear outlines are provided. Attendance not mandatory but his lectures cover everything to know for the test. 5 exams (multi choice1 essay Q) are averaged to make up semester grade and final is not cumulative, no HWextra credit (don't trip, you wont need it).

By far one of the best professors/teachers I have EVER had. Loved his class and loved going to it. I found myself wanting to read just so I would be able to contribute in class. Thanks Dr. Cullen!
