he's a really nice teacher but can be a little unorganized. Originally we had lots of assignments planned for the semester but we only ended up doing like half of them. The class is really confusing but he gives you a formula sheet for the tests so as long as you can plug numbers into them you'll get As on every test. I never studied and got an A.

Comment:

As a student of Professor McKim you'll immediately notice his great sense of humor. He really takes the time to make sure the class understands the material and is very honest about the difficulty of the exams and quizzes. It is super important though to bring a calculator to class as there are in-class worksheets that require them.

He was an alright teacher. I would take him again because I feel like he was easy. Accounting is not my strong point but he goes over so many examples in class and he has times were he is available in the lab if you need extra help. Attendance counts as a grade. One group project. Dont expect to pass this class unless you are ready to invest time into learning the material. Professor Mckim is nice but not the best teacher in my opinion. I took the time to go to tutoring outside of class to understand the content. One good thing is that worksheets given in class are identical to what is on the test. That is how I passed.

Pretty boring and long lectures. He just reads off the slides. Quizzes and tests are easy. Stops collecting homework after the second week of classes. Nice guy, but not engaging. He gives you formula sheets for all the tests, just study about an hour beforehand and you'll get an A. Go to class for sure. Study from the quizzes and that's the test.

Guy is a huge sweetheart. Very nice and caring to his students. If you don't understand, he will help. 10 out of 10 would take again. Only downsides were that he had quizzes for each chapter and 4 exams. Aside from that, I would do it.

Pro Mckim is Great professor. @ first thought that he was boring but he is really down to earth professor! He go over the power points, help you with his worksheets in class, his quizzes are somewhat similar to what you will see on his exam. Take him and you will learn. Mckim always willing to help students.. TAKE HIM

Took Professor McKim for Financial, Managerial, and will be taking Finance in the summer. He really helps you learn the material by doing worksheets and his lectures. All information is on his personal website. Barely used the book, no excel work! Pretty simple group project at the end of the semester . Gives extra credit. One of the best at Rosen!

Good teacher, class always gets out early. Gives good worksheets to help you understand the material. The tests are exactly like the worksheets so theyre pretty easy. Go to class he takes attendance and you dont want to miss the stuff he goes over but you can find the worksheets on his website

This class is rough regardless of the professor however David was particularly awful; he is one of those "stand up front and read the slides word for word" kind of teachers, he is very condescending and arrogant. AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF he doesn't use webcourses....it is a nightmare. Have fun teaching yourself. (quizzes are easy thankfully)

this class was awesome,i heard so many things about finance, but it was easy he explain well everything always answer my questions it was hard at first but then it got easier, just ask questions and he will help there is a project and 4 test every class he gives practice after explaining the lecture. make copies of ch4 and 5 so u dont buy the book

His class started out hard but got easier. The first test is hard but the last 2 and the final are open book. So the book is necessary to buy. You never have to do the homework and he will give you the answers to all of the work sheets. The project seems intimidating but is really easy once you start it. I would reccomend him!

This class was not an easy class, but Mr. Mckim really wants his students to succeed and learn. He is very helpful if you ever need extra help and his tests cover a lot of material and are not the easy, but if you work hard you can get the A. Weekly quizzes, 4 tests and a group project which is not the easiest so get started sooner then later.

I am taking financial with him now and he is a great professor. Very clear on what he wants and expects from the students. The powerpoints are awesome and gives them to to use as notes. Do the homework from the book and read the chapters and an A is yours!

He gives the powerpoints and good reviews. The project isnt that bad, he grades everything equally, so go to class b/c attendance helps. If you take the night class- he never held us the entire time. Class is boring, and a little tough, but he is willing to help.

I had him for Financial Accounting and he was one of the best professors in this field. He made it easy by providing reviews that actually covered topics in the test and gave good homework problems. Go to class bc he takes attendance and it can make the difference in an A. The group project was tedious but easy.

What a great teacher. Explains everything that is going to be on the tests and gives you all the formulas. Very easy to make an A if you go to class. This teacher is also extrealy helpful and very nice. My rating is an A+. Take McKim for finance.
