It is difficult to understand the material in class because it is not elaborated on. But if you ask questions it seems to irritate the teacher. Must be good at communicating effectively and good at understanding and processing information to pass the class.

Hardest class Ive ever taken. Study for the weekly quiz & pay attention to everything said in class. If you are not good at listening and taking notes at the same time you will miss things that are on the exams. Must be somewhat good at writing paragraphs to score high on the exams. If u want to pass, dont get on the teachers bad side.

Didn't like the class. Not interesting at all, he mostly spoke about the middle east. Theres 4 exams, not too hard but you've gotta study for them from notes so go to class every day and read the book he assigned. Didn't like the way he lectured.

Really easy as long as you go to class/have someone go to class and get the notes and study them before the tests. Has clicker points, so going to class is kind of important. You have to listen to the class idiots raising their hand thinking they have the best question ever asked, however, and that got quite old. 4-5 tests, not hard if you study.

very good teacher, he actually made history interesting. the ta pretty much controls your grade, but they all seemed very helpful. go to the classes and participate- it will pay off. Overall, great class.

seems like a really nice guy. the class is easy and im not much of a history person. there are a lot of easy oppertunities to improve your grade from discussion quizzes and papers if you do poorly on the tests. the tests are very fair.

took it over the summer, went to class about half the time. it wasn't that boring, he seemed like a fairly pleasant guy. there was one paper and two essay exams which are graded by your t.a. so it really depends on what kind of grader your t.a. is.

This guy is just absolutely horrible.He makes no sense. He shows us boring black and white movie with no sound.His tests have nothing to do with his lectures.He hasnt been to class in two weeks.He extends class beyond the correct time. Sometimes I am not sure he really is a teacher. If you are thinking about taking this class look somewhere else!!

Dr. Price is great. He keeps the class very interesting. If you study the notes you take in class from his lectures, you should be fine in the class. It does require a good amount of studying unless history comes natural to you. I hated history so much but I began to like it a little when I finished the class.

Dr Price is a wonderful lecturer, he keeps class interesting, however he grades nothing, so if you get a bad TA you will fail. Exams are essay and there is a paper. It is all based on the TA's opinion

Has a superflous amount of knowledge, and is like a history database. sitting in the front you can hear him pretty clearly, but sitting farther away from him his speech sounds a little slurred. Other than that he is a very good professor.

this class is not bad at all.the lectures are all about taking notes.he goes slowly so it isn't bad.if you have a good TA he will go over everything with you.just try and focus in class and read the chapters for discussion and you will be fine.exams werent bad either if you review the big concepts.
