She was a good professor. I had a harder time understanding the messaging system b/c it wasn't the normal emailing system. The tests are very tough! Be sure to study for every single test as much as possible or you won't pass. She does give extra credit. I used more of her notes than the actual textbook. You could get away w/out using textbook.

I hated all the short answer and essay questions on her tests which make up the majority of her exams. Also you never get any feedback other than seeing a grade online. I literally couldn't wait to be done with this class. I never felt like she engaged with us as a class online she was an invisible gatekeeper to a grade. hated this class.

Took her online class. Met with her to go over my test(she does not give back) and I enjoyed the discussion we had. I wish I could have taken a class with her in person but she only teaches online. I didn't like the written portion of the tests, not used to pencil and paper essays. Review her notes! Email her, she is very responsive. Great teacher!

Great Instructor. I really enjoyed this class and wished I could take her again. VERY knowledgable and passionate about government. Made Amer Gov interesting. 5 mult choice, T-F, fill blank & short essay tests. all info on study guide provided. 1 Discussion post and 2 responses due weekly. No midterm or final. Easy extra credit offered. Easy A.

Mrs. Tobler is great about giving you notes for every chapter taken. I took her classes online and it was fine. The quizzes and discussion questions were a piece of cake. The tests on the other hand, were not. Make sure to study notes more than the quizzes to get ready for the tests.

Prof. Tobler is amazing. I took her spring Amer. Gov't Honors class. She took a subject that I've had very little interest in and made it come alive. She made the learning experience meaningful and I now have a clear understanding of the government and the impact that it has on my life. I feel much more prepared to make voting choices in the future. If you have the chance choose her class!

I've never rated a professor poorly on this (or another) site before. I almost feel bad. I took Tobler this semester for an online course and the experience was a nightmare. Her tests are ridiculous (take many pencils -heavy essays) and must be taken on campus. She regards her own views as supreme and her notes seem a bit...****. I was offended.

I took this class online Fall 2010. I felt that there was so much information to learn for this class, thatyou never really got a chance to understand it all before you had to test. 4 total tests through the semester. They are very long. weekly discussions and quizzes.

Ms. Tobler is a wonderful teacher. She really knows her stuff when it comes to workings of the government. I hate politics, but she really made it interesting. I feel like a more informed citizen. I highly recommend her for Political Science.

She is a wonderful instructor. Upon completing her class you will be a more informed citizen. You are required to keep a journal, one page per week. 4 exams, review quizes are done at home. If your bad at exams and great at papers, your in luck because she allows you to write up to 3 papers, each worth 100 points (pretty much extra credit).

Very Interesting class. Eye opener if your like me, not so interested in the in's and out's of the Government machine. I felt the exams are hard even with hours of study. She's very fair with extra credit. So don't ever give up in her class. I learned alot from her. Felt like I was in a Goverment "Honors" class at times. Hard but Fair.

LOVED HER! She was very informative and still remained neutral. Although I didn't get the best grade in her class it was fair. She is open and made discussions fun. I was lucky to have her while the elections were going on. Homework is moderate. I would recomend her to anyone and I have been bashing teachers on here all day. all but her!
