Comment:
The course was really tough, and Pullman does his best to clarify the subject. He has some homework for studying aid (which is not graded), and I would strongly recommend doing that. His exams were tough but you'd be fine if you did your best to understand and study the material. You only have a few exams and a final for his course. No quizzes.

Pullman is a cool teacher. Really nice guy and can be funny at times. He tries explaining things to the best of his ability, but the subject matter is difficult to comprehend. There is homework, but it is not graded. I think you'll be fine if you take the course seriously and stay on top of studying. It's really easy to fall behind in his class

Pretty challenging course. One of the most (if not the most) difficult chemistry courses you will ever encounter. Lecture notes are informative.

Yeah, he lectures straight from power point but his notes are very clear and concise. Very fair grader on exams; partial credit even if you are way wrong. Go to office hours; he's very helpful! Overall, very nice guy and not a bad teacher. The material is heavy so what else do you expect, really?!

Most boring subject in the world. Pullman is a good teacher he knows his stuff but cannot hold a single minute of my attention in class. Everything looks like hieroglyphics until you actually do practice problems.

To call this man a teacher is a stretch. All he does is read from his lecture notes, so prepare to teach yourself quantum mechanics. One of the few saving graces for this class is he doesn't expect you to derive eqn's on the test so memorize your formulas and you should be good to go. Also all his notes are from the book 2 editions ago.

Dr. P. is a super great guy (& not bad on the eyes!) but, sad to say, not the greatest teacher! If you are into memorization - you'll do great, if your into the math and theory- prepare for the struggle. Because the math is dumbed down (mostly algebra with basic calculus) and thus the cohesiveness of the theory is lost.

He's a nice guy, but not blessed with an ability to teach. Kind of bad at explaining the in-class lectures and homework. I ended up with a freaking C, so it really sucks. Too much homework, and tests weren't related to them at all. Study my ass off, so I am very disappointed. They should hire a new teacher for Phys.Chem.

Explains subject really well. Class is not too bad as long as you don't wait 'til the last minute to do the homework (he doesn't collect it). Exams based on lecture and hw. Often does examples in class that aren't printed in notes, & then does something very similar on exams. Go to class & do hw and you'll be fine. Much better than Cooksy!!!!!!
