In all honesty, this is one of the WORST teachers I've ever had at Lake Sumter. If you have a choice - DO NOT TAKE HER. I don't even think she grades papers and assignments. It's all pointless busy work, and nothing ever makes sense. Unorganized and very frustrating.

Unclear and unorganized is putting it mildly. She is a few cards short of a deck. Avoid her class. It is a waste of time. The rules apply to some, but not to others. She is AWEFUL.

Never hands back papers. Never responds to emails. Cancelled class day before final and never bothered telling us what was on the final. The portfolio is a joke. Lots of useless busywork. If education hadn't been my already chosen career for years, this women would have made me hate the profession. After relentless nagging, I received an A.

This teacher is so unorganized that it's unbelievable. I had to hound her just to get any papers back. You never know what you have in the class because she never tells you or hands any papers back, ever. She also assigns so much busy work that its almost impossible to keep up with it all. 20 Essays in this class. GOOD LUCK!!

Nice lady, completely and utterly disorganized with assignments and classroom management. She basically has no clue what she's doing... ever. It is the most uninteresting and exasperating class anybody can take with this teacher.

Make sure before you leave everyday that you know exactly what is expected of you the next class! She can be a little confusing, but you start to get used to it. KEEP at least two assignments from this class to use in UCF! Show up on time and she will love you. Keep every paper she gives you and file it in your notebook that day. Great Teacher!

OK...The 4 inch binder thing is real. that thing is a beast. She can be a bit unclear at time about when things are due and the papers she passes out can be a bit to much to handle (large stacks nearly every class)This is not a class you should take lightly but from what i understand the binder is extremely helpfull when you transfer to UCF

The class is pretty entertaining and your always on your feet between games and activities. She's really into watching videos and doing reports. The portfolio and hours suck.Most of the time your in their you feel like your wasting your time. She's a pretty funny teacher though.

This professor has too much on her plate and it shows! She is so unorganized and she gives a lot of "busy work." I completed a lot of work ahead of time, then she said we did not have to do it all after two months of being told we had to do it. I have her for two semesters and I am soon to be free! Never again will I take any class by her.

I love Mrs. Dabney. She is a very nice lady. I was a little disappointed in her ability to organize her lesson plans and how scatter-brained she is. Very nice lady but someone as unorganized as Mrs. Dabney should really be taking more time out to teach future educators how to do things right!
