Comment:

He's one of the best Psychology professors you've ever met. His way of teaching psychology will make you interested in psychology. Although the attendance isn't mandatory, but I think you'd waste your penny by skipping out his class and miss the hilarious, creative, and fun ways of teaching. P.s yup, a lot of reading and weekly assignments.

Comment:

Took him for summer, wouldn't recommend it if it's your first time because the material gets pushed together into 8 weeks and it goes by FAST. Definitely caring and easily accessible. Records lectures so you can pay attention in class and take notes later. LECTURES WERE MIND BLOWING BTW!! Best teacher by far, just do the work + do flashcards.

I can tell that in person Don is a great professor! Online you miss the quality of his teaching, By this I mean is your basically learning a psych book and taking 3 major tests. I did learn a lot but I prefer a professor who puts their knowledge into the curriculum. I am taking another one of his courses this summer so he teaches a great class!

I don't get A's and earned one in his class. The secret, he has exam reviews and uses those questions on his test. So, make and use flashcards and you too should earn an A! He's also a great guy.

Don is a very good instructor and his lectures are awesome. His tests are also very reasonable because he provides very sheets which narrows down what you need to revise for them. I did not notice it and got bad grades for my first two tests but caught up later on. Easy A if I were more careful :)

He was a great proffesor! Very intresting to listen to and was funny. There were lots of online quizzes to do, that as long as you planned it out right it wasnt hard. However, his tests were hard, so you really have to study. Very accomidating, will you outside of class and is very cooperative. Warning: had major tests every other week.

Tips: attend the lectures even though they aren't mandatory. Do all homework on time. You don't really need to read all the modules, only read the graphs, charts, and bolded words. USE THE STUDY GUIDE!! because 98% of the tests will be based off it. This class is only hard if you don't try and don't pay attention. Take through notes.

Before taking Dr. Don Christensens Psyc 100 class, I was a music major. I am now a psychology major. I feel like that is enough to be said about his outstanding and inspiring teaching.

Professor Christensen have amazing lectures, however you have to listen to his lectures as most of his lectures will come out in the exams. His exams are tough but as long as you listen in class and study the guides, you'll do good.

He's awesome. He makes things extremely clear and is great about clarifying stuff. He provides a bunch of resources for his students to succeed and he obviously wants them to. It's an extremely hard class, but this teacher is fantastic.

This has been the best class I have taken at shoreline. Christensen is always willing to work with students if they need more help, willing to answer questions at any time and clear things up. This teacher is super kind and always smiling, very great personality and really makes lecture time fly because he is so good at keeping you interested!

Dr. Christensen was an amazing professor! His lectures are awesome and he delivers them well. He recorded his lectures with Panopto for later viewing if we missed class. Lots of reading and work but if you show up and put effort into it, you should do great!

Biopsych was the hardest class I've ever taken, but Dr. C is fantastic. The workload is intense, but he presents the material well. He's genuinely caring and he wants his students to do well. I failed 1 exam but still finished with a 3.7 - he provides opportunities to redeem yourself. His classes are hard but worth it.

Highly intelligent and a truly talented public speaker. He makes every lecture seem like a brand new talk and always makes class interesting and fun. He has a very heavy workload though and his exams are among the toughest in the school.

Comment:

Don Christensen is a teacher whose courses I plan to take to fill out the requirements for my Psychology transfer degree. He's a great teacher, very easy to approach, very easy to talk to, and he makes sure that all of his material is extremely accessible. He puts all of his slideshows online for his class, and he tapes every class with Penopto.

This class is an sort of easy because all you do is listen to lecture then do the online portion of class and there is like 2 papers. Most of the study guard is on quizlet so if you study ahead of the exam you will probably pass

Dr. C is fantastic, anything I have to say has already been said. However, do not let others fool you - his classes are hard. Know your limits and consider your other classes. I took his class on a 20 credit work load and it nearly killed me. Don't do that to yourself. I definitely recommend Dr. C, but know that his 200 level classes are heavy.

Hands down the best professor ever! He is super caring, his lectures are never boring, he teaches us with lots of stories that will make us grip and understand the context better. He is also an easy grader, just watch his lectures, complete the quizzes and reaction papers on time and you'll do just fine in his class.
