Comment:
You don't take the notes; they are given to you. You are also expected to understand everything on the first try. Very formulaic homework problems are given, and then he seems surprised when nobody seems to be developing any conceptual understanding. Exams are take-home since they would be absolutely impossible if proctored.

He is very energetic! I learned from him to be "very excited" about learning. Those were the first words he said when i attended his class. Very helpful. Although, his courses are really hard.

In my class he would cover a subject an entire month prior to us being tested over it. So when the midterm finally came around it was harder than it should have been. Basically his lectures are useless and all you have is the book to go off of. He also showed little to no respect for his students.

Lectures are useless. Why do I have to pay for this class? I can teach myself this subject better than he does!

Professor often doesn't know what he is talking about, claims all the slides are wrong, and insists you learn his 'tricks'. Usually they end up being wrong. I don't recommend taking him if you need this course. If you have to, use the textbook and I'd recommend getting an SEP.

Read the book, study the problems in it, and take the online quizzes. They are the only things that will help you pass the class. His lectures won't. If you take this class, you'll be on your own.

A far as the syllabus goes, it's taken from all over the book. Sometimes it's hard to understand what he's saying. However, he teaches the subject with enthusiasm.

This professor gets a bad rep because his lectures do not coincide with the grades, however if you were being tested on what he was lecturing on right afterward he would be okay. For our class he was a full midterm off of where we needed to study, so good luck learning from the book. (Quizzes have unlimited attempts, and are open browser)

this is a really frustrating class, because the professor just thalks for 1 and 1/2 hours in the lecture and we don't learn much about chemistry. he doesn't like to answer questions in the class, and keeps giving us online quizes that we haven't even covered yet.

Comment:
For the most part, you'll be sitting through a chemistry history lesson. As for chemistry, you might touch on it every now and then. There are weekly online tests that go with the course, but the lectures fell a full chapter behind in the very first week so it became a matter of learning the subject matter strictly by reading the book.
