Excellent professor. Quite demanding, however, and doesn't tolerate laziness or lack of effort. I had her for many classes including a freshman level botany class which was quite difficult. However, I am now an MD, and she was not only my advisor but also one of my strongest advocates, writing one of my recc letters. Thank you Dr. Sm

Dr. Smith is a great professor who cares about the success of her students. She is very strict and very demanding, but also very helpful. She will not give you the answers to a questions. She expects intelligent questions, and will reward those questions with intelligent and helpful responses. College is not supposed to be a piece of cake

Mean, selfish, and hates students. I took her again to prove that I can make an "A" in her class. Very hard to approach, no personality. Its okay to be tough, that's what college should be, but its bad as it is, at least be there to support. She does try to weed out those that SHE thinks aren't good enough. AVOID DONNA SMITH.

Although Botany is a 1000 level course, I wouldn't suggest taking it until you've had either biology or zoology. She's a hard professor and she has a tough exterior, but she isn't the demon everyone thinks she is. People just have to realize that college isn't meant to be a walk in the park! Consistent study is a MUST.

She's expects excellence. I don't think she's absolutely horrible but her tests are not what I expected. I do get the vibe that she takes pride in getting rid of the "weak". This class should be taken alone so you have enough time to study.

She was one of the harder profs I ever had, but I learned more in her classes than I did in almost any other class. The best way to make it through her classes are keep up with studying and ask questions...intelligent ones :)

I have had her for Genetics, Cell Bio, Biochem, Molec/Cell Biol (lecture and lab), and Botany. I thought she was great. I averaged either an A or a B. I think people just have this idea that they are going to be doctors and it is a real shock to them when they find out that they don't have what it takes.

I endured 5 weeks of her lectures. She expects everyone to be as smart as her and when she recognizes your not she makes a fool out of you. She made an older woman cry in class. Her tests are bogis! DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER. I dropped her class today, and I am picking it up with a different teacher. I luv school and I love cell bio, but nother!

Dr. Smith is also my advisor. She is a horrible instructor and an awful advisor. In fact, she should not be an advisor, I ended up with having to take an extra yr becuase she had me so screwed up and would NOT listen to me. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROF!!!
