Bock is a very good professor for this class. It can be somewhat difficult near the end but he gives his assignments with very detailed instructions so that there is no way to completely screw up. Tests can be a bit difficult but if you do your 7 labs then you should atleast get a B with some work.

He is a really good teacher. He can seem like a hardass but is really nice. Very personable. Very knowledgeable. He is the chair of CMIS so if you are CMIS try to get in good with him. I would take any class with him!

He is a very funny teacher and also laid back, he pushed back lab due dates and tests for our own help. If you like programming, you will like this teacher and class. If you are not good at programming then good luck.

Great teacher. I took this class last semester with a different teacher and failed it then took it again this semester with Bock and got a B. His notes help you out a lot in class and on tests. He is an easy grader and is clear at explaining things. I would definately recommend him if you have to take this class.

The teacher was great, had very detiled notes, but since it was programming, it wasnt what people thought and most couldnt cut it. At one point, the teacher had a count going on how many people were leaving each week

His notes were very detailed and easy to understand. His projects could get very hairy at times, and he was more likely to be out golfing, especially on a nice day. The only thing I really didn't like was the day he pushed up an exam without notice.
