Professor Kutz is a really nice person but not a great teacher! I AM A CHEMISTRY MAJOR AND IM STILL DOING HORRIBLE IN THE CLASS! The way he grades homework is completely unfair. He gives you around 10 problems but only grades 1, so you get a 0/10. Do not take this class! The test are not even what we go over in class.

HORRIBLE TEACHER. Unless you plan on memorizing the entire textbook you will NEVER be prepared for his tests. He hardly ever teaches, last 3wks he just put a sheet of paper on the projector screen and pointed at his horrible handwriting that is impossible to read. He has open office hours but is NO HELP at all

I don't understand why so many people think Kutz is easy. He is incredibly confusing, goes over little to no examples in class-homework is always brand new to me..he is a strict grader, it sucks getting a 0/10 on your homework because of a minor mistake.With lots of tutoring I am still failing. Only give him a little credit b/c of his office hours.

He is not a hard teacher, but his class is all about building on what you learned in the beginning. If you do poorly on the first tests and don't understand it then you probably wont do good. His lecture is a bit scattered sometimes(Make sure he has his coffee). But he is very helpful if you ask him. Do the homework and show up to class.

He is a terrible professor. You do better teaching yourself. If asked a question he doesnt know how to respond so he basically just over looks you. The homework is easy, and test too but only if you taught yourself well. His lecture is the most boring thing ever. I wouldnt take him unless you feel like taking time out to teach yourself.

Very good professor, but his exams are easy and challenge at the same time, because his exams only consists 25 multiple choice , each question worth 4 points, so it's hard to handle it. btw he's very nice, and make the class interesting

Kutz makes Chem II as easy as it gets. Tests come straight from the homework and notes. "Mostly from the homework" The final wasn't that bad either. Just study over your old tests and you will do fine.

Kutz is probably one of the best professors I have had at UTC. He covers the topics enough to get across the useful information without getting too esoteric. Everything is straight-forward and he lectures very clearly.

Great teacher, he's straightforward about what he wants you to know. He gives objectives of what you need to know which is very helpful for studying for the exams. He also gives homework, which isn't difficult and grades one problem. Make sure to do all the HW problems because he'll give you points for effort. I would take any Chem class he teaches

This teacher was awesome. I had him for general Chenistry 1 & 2. If he taught my other chemistry classes, I'd take him in a minute. He notes which is what the exams are based on. He will let you out of class early. NO POP QUIZES. HINT: Do the homework, it can be the difference between an "A" or a "B"; but the homework is easy. TAKE HIM!!!!

I really enjoyed this professor. He is straight forward, tells you exactly what to study. If he doesn't write it on the board, don't worry about it. Gives homework for each section, but it's easy and he checks only one problem. He will let you out early almost every class period. take him he's good.
