By far my favorite Prof at LCC. His lectures are not boring and he tells funny stories in every lecture so he def isn't a prof that makes you wanna go to sleep. NO homework and just take notes and you will pass. Amazing man and Prof overall and gonna miss Monday mornings with him.

Comment:

Professor Thomas was excellent, he would make videos for online students to help with upcoming quizzes/exams. No exams were proctored for online classes. He was very clear about assignments and what he wanted from you as a student, clear and concise. Participate in the group discussions and don't be afraid to give feedback! Highly recommend!

not very understanding at all. Did not even try to explain concepts nor did he give any opportunity for extra credit. Unhappy with his teaching. I learned more about him being a former cop than i did criminal justice...

Prof. Ed is by far my favorite teacher so far. I actually looked forward to coming to class Monday mornings. He is funny, relaxed, always has a story tied to something hes teaching. No homework and exams are online (D2L). As long as you take notes you will pass. 10/10 would take again. Highly recommend if you are majoring in CJ

Ed is a fun and exciting professor who encourages students to actually want to learn the material by comparing the material to current day to day experiences. I would definitely recommend taking some of Eds classes or just getting to know him. He is an inspiration and definitely someone you want in your corner !! Especially if youre a CJ Major

By far the best teacher I have had at Lansing Community College. No homework at all, but there are exams, which Is the majority of the final grade. So I would suggest actually studying before taking the exam. It is not hard to get all the material from him because he's so fun and interesting in his lectures.

By far the best professor I've had at LCC. Really cares about his students and is very helpful! The course was overall easy. Some test the questions were worded weird, but if you participate with discussions and read the text, you will do great! :)

Best Professor I have had. Amazing at what he does, and is always able to tell stories along with what hes teaching due to his background. Never a lot of homework and if so he makes it clear and understandable. Just show up to class and you will be able to pass

Online Intro to Criminal Justice easy A. Just do all the discussion boards on time every week. Read the material, or not lol. But be sure to use book and study guides for timed tests. I would highly recommend this teacher

Teacher is funny and that energy is positive in the class he keeps everyone attentive and involved. Group assignments and projects, lectures, take notes , read book study reviews and you will do great. professor gives great feedback and is experienced in this field.

tests are timed for only about and hour and 10 minutes with 50 questions. hard to get it done in time, plus I didn't read the book so that probably didn't help. homework is due once a week but always so easy. missed an exam by accident and he opened it just so I could take it. if I had to take more CJ classes, he's definitely my first choice!!

What a fun guy!! There's not a thing you could dislike about the man. He's clear and concise, reviews before exams (which are easy), and we didn't use the book too terribly much. But you do need it.

There is just no way not to love Mr. Ed Thomas. He is a cool amazing teacher who is very hands on. He is a family man inside and has wonderful jokes and always is in a good mood. I reccommend him to anybody who wants to go into cj. This guy knows his stuff and is very helpful down the road

I had Ed Thomas for 101 and 102. Every time I take a CJUS class, I look for his name. Awesome teacher! He makes class fun, and relates well because hes a retired Lansing Police Officer. Highly recommend taking notes, it covers all the tests. Hurry and take Ed before his class fills up.

I took this class online and it was really easy. I would definitely recommend this professor to others. He would be delayed on updating what you have to do for the week, but you could do your weekly assignment in less than 20 minutes.
