Great professor. Her class is hard, but this is the nature of the material, and if you work hard, read the book, and utilize her knowledge - you are very well prepared for the CPA exam. Dr. Keim prepares students for real life and CPA exam. Thank you Dr. Keim!

Patronizes all students. If you ask her an honest question she will 9/10 answer with "Are you kidding me?" Her exams are not reflective of the textbook. She had to break her one and only rule of "NO CURVES" because everyone in the class bombed the mid-term. No wonder she has had to move so often job to job. DO NOT TAKE

She used a completely different txtbook from the one we were told to buy & thats what we were tested on, like we had her 20 yrs of experience in acctg and about to take our CPA. We just started learning this material, and she didn't put that into consideration. She never narrowed down what we would be tested on. Everything was "fair game".

Avoid her if possible. You need to learn all by yourself. She refused to talk about the exam ,just told it covers everything. She read the solution instead of explaining it.

Not recommended. Really boring class because she just repeats what is on the textbook. Did not learn much, since she does not teach how to solve problems (instead, she just reads the solutions manual). This is why many students get low grades. Exams are hard. No curve, no extra credit, no quizzes. A lot of homework. 2 midterms + cumulative final.

Dr. Keim is against curves of any sort. Unwilling to even talk about the possibility of any curve, or even discuss a targeted grade distribution (since she is against one). Dr. Keim is willing to let the entire class fail if she feels they didn't comprehend the material. Dr. Keim is defensive of her methods despite poor performance.

She is not a good professor. Instead of teaching how to actually solve the problems, she just reads the solutions manual. She put check figures online the same day of the exam. In class, instead of explaining the material, she reads and writes her notes on the board. I do not recommend her.

This was the worst class I have had ever. She constantly complained about not having a GA. She didn't submit grades on time. Her tests were ridiculously hard and her lectures consisted of her writing out the solutions to the homework on the board instead of actually teaching anything.

Mrs. Keim was the best teacher at CSUSM! Her class was extremely tough, but she really knew what she was talking about. I am extremely upset that she is gone, the education level as far as accounting goes at CSUSM has gone way done. We need more teachers like her.

this has by far been the most challenging class for me in my entire education. however, if you work your tail off...once you pass it...you will feel like youre on top of the world. sadly she wont teach at SM any more. i am thankful to have had her.

I love Mrs. Keim. Although this class is harder than hell, she makes it possible to pass through hard work and a lot of studying. Overall Mrs. Keim is THE BEST acct teacher at CSUSM. I wish I could take her again.

At the beginning of the semester she definitely comes off as wanting the students to fail. In actuality, she is just trying to weed out the slackers. The class is extremely tough, but she is a VERY good teacher. Anybody could pass this difficult class, you just have to put in the effort.

Great teacher. Simplifies a very difficult subject to the level we can understand. You can pass her class if you do the work. You will learn the material and not be bored or confuse. Doesn't put students down.

this lady could be one of the best you ever had or your worst nightmare. her easiest class to pass is 416. with any of her class, you need to study hard, expect to study 10-15 hrs a week.
