He goes really fast but puts alot of detail into each lecture. He is fair and curves tests when appropriate. There is homework. If you want an easy A don't take him. You do have to show up and do the work. Take good notes and find a good study group. He explains things well when you ask a question and never talks down to anyone.

I was not a huge fan. I'm a pretty attentive student but his lectures went on forever even I was zoning out. He kind of yell talks at us. Exam questions were often awkwardly worded and class examples are all in product X/company Y format with very few real-life examples. A lot of content to remember and no cue cards or cheat sheets in exams.

Prof. Tahernia is great! Extremely knowledgeable & caring. He ensures that we understand the material. He makes himself available outside of class for anyone who needs any extra help. His lectures are very informative & he gives good examples. If you miss a lecture, you have to do a lot of reading to keep up. Just do your HW, study & you will pass.

I hardly ever put my pencil down for more than a couple of minutes, you HAVE to take good notes! took his 3 hour class. Just do the homework, even if its wrong you will most likely get points for it. tests are not that bad but i definitely struggled with understanding the material. read the text book and come to class. drops lowest test.

Being a professor may be his part time job but he has a passion for it. He knows his material and will put in effort for you if you do the same. If you're looking to just pass, then his class notes work fine but if you want an A, the textbook supplement the course and is necessary for the homework.

I really enjoy professor Tahernia class, his three hours lessons in the evenings where not boring at all. He teaches real life examples, not just reading material from the book. Every test material comes from his lessons, nothing from the book. Take really good notes, and pay attention to his lessons. Easy "A" I wish he teaches Eco2 next semester

You have to read the the chapter before class, take really good notes, and study really hard for the tests. There are three tests, lowest is dropped and cumulative final. Three homework assignments due on test days. You must put in a good amount of effort into studying to get an A on the test. I had a hard time in this class.

Economics is not an option and he is a really great professor. His evening three-hour lectures are not boring at all. Reading the textbook (and understanding the material) before every class meeting is the road to a good grade. Also he doesn't stay in textbook material but teaches real-life/time economics.

He is one of the best professor. All mid terms and final were from his lecture. It's really sad that he did not teach Econ 2. Lots of extra credits, but sadly I am not smart enough to get them. Anyway, I like his class.

His way of teaching is different from most teachers but it really does help me understand the material well. He gives examples of scenarios and keeps his notes simple. You learn useful stuff in this class. He keeps his class interesting. I would recommend him.
