Overall, a good professor. For the most part, he was good at explaining problems and his tests were curved generously. However, he would sometimes dive into crazy proofs that weren't necessary to learn and some examples weren't explained too clearly. He was certainly very funny and would sometimes like to make fun of students.

His lectures are unclear and his tests are not indicative of the material covered in lecture. I would suggest not going to class and just reading the book and watching youtube because he will go into complex proofs during lecture and yet skip steps for problems solving methods that are important. He also shames people for asking questions in class.

Chill professor, didn't attend many lectures but he did crack some good jokes when I was actually at class. Exams felt fair and practice exams that he gave were extremely reflective of what would be on the actual exam. Gave very generous curves on exams (raw scores seemed be curved to a B average rather than the course average of B-).

Loved his sense of humor and I was always eager to go to lecture. Makes you work for your grade though - midterm 1 and 2 had 80% averages but final was 50%. Average grade was around a B. I am a math major so I could be a bit biased but I think most of my peers enjoyed his class.

Prof. Zworski is one of my favorites. I learned to say "zed" instead of "zee" as well as how to derive some wave functions. He is a funny and passionate lecturer who cares about his students.

You can learn so much just by watching him work through examples in lecture, the way he finds clever shortcuts to make complex integrals look much simpler. He also ties concepts back to their analogs in single variable calculus, so thats super helpful for understanding. If you go to office hours twice, hell know your name. Just a lovable guy.

Absolutely hilarious. Even though the content was tough, he explains it quite well and his humor spices things up and makes the class enjoyable. Tests are hard but reasonable, doesnt allow a cheatsheet though. Helpful in office hours but if dont know your stuff he will probably humiliate you in front of everyone else there. Would recommend 10/10.

Great lecturer, gives really good summaries of the book. The second half of his lectures tend to be quite dense proofs or examples, but the first half is always introduction to new topics with easy examples. The quizes were weekly but not too difficult if you did the homework.

Very proof oriented in his lectures. He would often present material that was way more abstract than it needed to be. He always managed to delve into the material, and is quite funny every once in a while. Otherwise, he is very helpful during office hours and takes the time to learn your name. The tests are tough, but fair.

Clear, well-organized, and interesting lectures. He adds some sass here and there which gets the whole class chuckling. Starts every lecture with a short review and takes care to explain how the information from the lecture fits in with the rest of the class. Tests are difficult but fair. Gives test grades back within 24 hours.

Zworski gives very good lectures. He starts off by reviewing what was covered last time every single lecture, and then slowly and clearly moves on to the new topic. Gives lots of examples, even though some are tough. You can learn a lot from lecture if you follow along very closely.

Zworski loves doing proofs and explaining theorems. Doesn't really conceptually teach the material though. For example, I don't think we ever did an example surface integral in class, but we were expected to know them. His tests are all right, but his grading is kinda bad because his rubric makes you lose lots of points for the most random stuff.

Easily my least favorite class so far. He spends ages on proofs and theorems that I couldn't care less about. Very impractical lectures, and a complete waste of time. Unless you're into that kind of stuff, stay away.

I had Dr. Zworski for two classes twenty years ago when he was a postdoc and I was a freshman. He was a great lecturer and extremely passionate about his subject. His classes were excellent preparation for my later studies in mathematics and career as a mathematician.

Took his class as a freshman, 1st sem, coming off a 5 on Calc AB and taking IB Higher Math in HS. But His class was extremely tough. His lectures are very proof-oriented, and I spent most of the time staring mindlessly at the board trying to follow. His tests were very tough, but with a curve I was able to pass. Use your book/GSI a LOT.
