Worst professor I've ever had. He doesn't use lesson time to teach instead he talks about his personal interests. Doesn't care about his students. Has no interest in helping students even under extreme circumstances. Do yourself a favor, take this class anyone else.

Absolutely horrible! At the end of the class, I had an 89.9 and he wouldn't round up to an A. I wouldn't wish him on my worst enemy. He has absolutely no sympathy for his students. He will not help you or do anything to accommodate you even if you have a death in the family or are dealing with a serious illness. I saw this first hand.

He's an OKAY professor. The class was very boring. He's a nice guy but not the best teacher. His tests aren't bad either, just study the material! Offers so many extra credit opportunities. TAKE THEM! I did not. I could have had an A but I ended up with a B+ because I didn't take extra credit.

Worst professor I've ever had! He spent more time talking about his trips to China than anything related to economics. Very frustrating to sit for an hour and fifteen minutes without being taught anything useful for exams, homework quizzes, etc. If that weren't bad enough, he doesn't seem to care about his students. Find another professor.

I usually don't write negative reviews but in this case I'm going to make an exception because I wish someone had warned me. Hands down the worst professor I've ever had. He simply doesn't teach. Be prepared to get a tutor or teach yourself. Do yourself a favor and take this class with any other professor. Extra credit offered but no other help.

He really cares about your grade. He offers a lot of chances to improve your grade. And he gives lots of quizzes and homework so you will have a higher average.

Goes off topic every single class. He goes over quizzes in class & gets confused & gets the wrong solutions. He has even said that he would fail his own class. Gives up to 4-5 points of extra credit. Quizzes & lots of homework every week. 4 tests. If you get an A, you can be exempt from the final. Not an easy class for a non-business major.

He tries his best. But he's terrible. He doesn't know how to teach Econ. His only experience in Econ is his own bussiness that he runs. He either lectures and get off topic or fails his own quizzes in front of class. Going to class is "required" (kinda sorta) but completely pointless. Cool guys, terrible teacher.

HE DOESNT TEACH.. his class is all in "my Econ lab" on online lab where he post quizes and even 2 of the 4 test.. class is required but pointless cause you learn nothing.. he's funny and nice but I wouldn't recommend him as a teacher

In a nutshell: Professor Bounds is a real nice (hilarious) guy. Can sometimes get confused on the material at hand and has weekly quizzes. But with all of the resources online with MyEcon Lab, I found it very hard to not do well in this class. Bounds has extra credit assignments, so as long as you don't doze off during lectures (guilty), You good!

He's really random so he rarely stays on topic when teaching. Doesn't have study guides. Tests are hard and even he gets confused when reviewing them. He's a nice guy and will help everyone pass but I felt like I didn't learn anything.

The run down, econ is a hard subject, but he doesn't make it any easier. 4 test including final. many quizzes usually 2-3 between tests and drops 1. no curve or drops on test. Homework on econ is easy. READ before class is a must. Recommend a tutor if you take his class.

He's a really great guy, and will go out of his way to help you and make sure you understand if you ask. However, he's very spacey and scatterbrained. We didn't get to all of the topics we were supposed to cover. He gives a lot of extra credit, and intro econ classes are never hard anyways.

Like all great things in life, you have to work to earn a good grade in his class. In fact, if you don't have to work hard to earn a good grade, you are likely being shortchanged on your eduation. I recommend this professor. You will be entertained by his lectures.

He is a nice teacher, rambles & reads off power points, the book does a better job teaching. The Research Project is 20% of the grade & u will Not Find 50% of the info that he specifies you to have in the report! Yes so u will fail the project. Both online quizzes and in class tests. If u want to transfer with good GPA DO NOT take Him he's Overrated

I don't suggest that anyone take professors Bounds' class. I am typing this while I'm in class because his class progresses very slowly. Today's class started at 11:00 and he didn't finish reviewing yesterday's test until 12:00. I do though like that he calls on people to answer questions as opposed to expecting his students to participate.

boring. can't teach. he only reads off the powerpoint in which he downloads from the book publisher's site (u can do it at home yourself). contradict himself alot & loves to ramble off. doesn't give a clear definite answer. but at least he could care less what you doing in class.

Decent teacher. He tends to ramble a little bit when he lectures (which is every class), but he is very nice. His tests are pretty hard, but if you do the Myeconlab homework, you should be fine. He goes over the material a lot so you need to pay attention.
