Comment:

One of the most tedious, confusing online courses I've ever taken. I'm used to online courses but this was outrageous. She is very unorganized but somehow assigns so much work out of thin air. Her lectures get very confusing. I recommend using the book to your advantage if you take her class. She is a nice lady but can't teach too well.

Comment:

She is one of the worst teachers i have ever had, she will often go off on crazy tangents that have nothing to do with the class regardless of the subject matter. Often makes jokes about her students, past and present. Often test questions don't make sense and when you ask for help defining the question she offers little to no help. DO NOT TAKE!

Comment:

This was the most confusing class I ever took. The schedule was convoluted and overlapped. There were weekly group projects, 15 quizzes (but only 10 count), 6 tests (but only 4 count), and a group final. I only passed this class because I had a prior understanding of the material. I don't dislike her as a person, but she is not the best teacher.

Comment:

Frederica is someone who continues to baffle me every class I go to. Terrible explanation skills that will leave you more confused on the topic after the class. She is very afraid of North Korea taking over and reminds you so every class. Her ideologies and references are outdated. She doesn't belong in a classroom but in a stray jacket.

I would say that this class was not a difficult one. I would say that professor Carr is the most unorganized teacher I have ever had. There is no clear expectation for her students. This class was was a complete waiste of time. would not recommend taking this class.

Do NOT take this professor!! This has by far been the most frustrating course I have ever taken. Although knowledgeable, she can't teach at all! The success rate in this class was low because she was a very inconsistent grader, discussed her own personal views on topics and was just a bad professor. Take someone else and save yourself.

Definitely do not recommend taking this class in person. long winded lectures, she doesn't give clear expectations of what she wants on tests and projects. I was in her 7:30-8:45am class. She didnt start teaching until 8am. She doesn't follow the book and grades inconsistently. I don't think I actually learned anything this semester.

There was plenty of time to take the tests open-book. This will be needed as there are no lectures, poorly explained MS Paint notes, and items on tests not in the reading or book. I already knew the subject matter going into the course (needed it for credit), and feel I would have learned nothing from this course. So many other students were lost!

Very clear and easy to follow professor. I rented the textbook and never opened it, we went over everything thoroughly in class. We ended up running behind but we had some real rocks that we had to go back over a few lessons for.

Waist of my time and money. She was not helpful at all. I e-mailed her with a question once and she just sent me the answer key with all the answers to the quizes- not helpful if you actually want to learn something.. the other times I e-mailed her she didn't respond at all. I did not gain a thing from taking her class.

This teacher is a waste of time. Out of the 4 years taking classes at MiraCosta, Carr is the worst teacher I've had! She expects you to completly understand the material during lecture. She goes on rants and completly does not make sense at times. Not helpful if you have a question. I would NOT recommend you take her class!

Save your time and money. Dont take Carr. I was confused most of the course and she doesnt use pp for lectures, doesnt email you right away, goes off onto tangents way to easily. Some of my other friends who have taken her agree about her how she teaches her class.

Took her online class, she was completely unresponsive to any questions from students, unclear when she did respond. Changed the final after it was suppose to be released. Didn't matter really since your course work didn't apply to the material you were tested on. Will never take a class with this prof again!

Her test are hard but if you do the homework and follow her lectures its very easy to get a good grade in her class. Tests are difficult but she only takes 2/3, and one is a take home.

By far the worst professor I have had at any school and at any level. She is unresponsive to student needs, has trouble using technology and has an extremely obnoxious voice. Do not take her class unless you are good at staying awake because she is boring.
