As long as you attend classes and take good notes. Print our the PowerPoint before class. Know the quiz questions. I think if you are willing to read the chapter before lectures you should be fine. The accent part shouldn't be an issue for a student cinsider the fact that you need to adapt some other prof out there in a university.

This class I would say was ok. Professor Collins was very helpful and a very funny/nice lady. She told you exactly what will be on the test and as long as you attended and took notes, you would be fine. Her accent is a little hard at times to understand. She's a very all over the place teacher, but she was good and I came out with a good grade.

May is a great professor. She loves to help you if you need help. I've taken two of her classes and it is important to be involved in the class. If she knows who you are she will go out of her way to help you, but if you sit quietly and don't add anything to the class then you take your chances with the tests and final.

What is with MiraCosta College? Don't they screen their professors for proficient use of the English language anymore? This is STILL the USA, right? I couldn't understand one word from this woman. DO NOT take her if you want to actually major in Economics or Business.

Great teacher! Loved her class. She teaches using real world examples. You will do fine in the class, if you show up, take notes, and study for the quizzes. She may seem tough at times, but in the end she is an easy grader if you know your terminology. She is very funny too. She is smart and knows her stuff. Show up to class and you'll do well.

She's really funny which made the class entertaining. I did not learn anything in this class. She has high credibility, but doesn't teach. I thought I was failing, but some how I came out with an automatic A without knowing it :)

fun class, u can pass but you will not learn anything. Its not so much her accent that makes her hard 2 understand its her style of teaching. Unorganized, unapproachable & I got the impression she's really careless about teaching. We hardly ever went over h/w and ppl are so afraid to ask questions. I liked her but not her style of teaching.

You really need a thick skin to take this instructor. She's a nice person one on one,but she can be harsh and rude to students during class.Thank goodness the textbook is excellent,because her lectures are unclear.So if you read the textbook and can put up with her attitude,this class is pretty easy to pass and the material itself is interesting.

I took Econ 101 and 102 with her summer 07. She doesn't explain the material well, she is very condescending and disorganized. She makes it hard for you to calculate your own grade. To get an A you can't miss class, do all the homework and assignments (lots of it and very hard)

Some days she's real cool but can change her attitude on you. She can make you feel dumb sometimes if you ask a question and she always answers her cell phone in class while she gives a lecture, but the work is easy and she loves to give away A's.

I had her for 101 also. For one who graduated top of their senior class, this is one very excitng adventure. Many of the principles are very relevant to one's life and while the class maybe very easy, the material is the kind that will interest the student. This class can be a life-changing experience if one looks past the grades and work.

I had a very difficult time understanding what she was saying. Also, this class is so incredibly easy that I never once even opened the book and I only came to class on test days and I still got a B. This class will leave you woefully unprepared for later Econ classes, so watch out.

She is one of the best teachers I have ever had. Very open and enthusiatic. Loves Econ so does an amazing job teaching it. Follow her advice she's livin life!! She's hysterical and makes class fun!! absolutly take her class if u get a chance!!
