For some reason, he likes me as a student which makes absolutely no sense as I was a complete nuisance in his class. Great director from the shows I've been in with him. I dig him. Definitely very rambley.

I had a terrible experience with George both classes I took with him. I am 100% confident he does not read the papers in intro to film and theater activities has been biggest crock of nonsense with a lack of accountability or the responsibility to answer to a friggin email. I would strongly advise against a class with hi.

His movie choices suck. It is mainly because his midterm and final are difficult to follow with all the films. He does take attendance even though it doesnt really matter, you can watch the films at home.

Very boring, rambles on random tangets that are not important to the class. He is always wearing black. He seems nice just a very boring teacher and his mid term and final are very difficult. Good luck remembering movies from the beginning. I would not recommend him.

He is very dry, he speaks for long periods of time and the class misses out on time for the films he has us watch. His papers are easy but midterm and final are very difficult and only have a week to do complex questions.

Ive taken a few classes with George. He knows what hes doing. Hes been teaching for many years, he values participation, respect, and creativity. One of the best teachers of all time!

George is like that caring grandparent. He can be awkward sometimes but he loves to interact and talk with you. I've taken four classes with him and it was always a joy to see him. He is very understanding. Beginning Acting was easy. Theatre Makeup was easy. Intro the Film and History of Film involved a few papers but if you give detail, easy A.

There were far too many papers. He was very generous when grading the 3 analysis papers, but too harsh when grading the midterm, term and final papers. They are on aspects of the movies we saw in class from the textbook, but he never actually goes over anything in the textbook and the questions are confusing. George himself is a very caring man.

most fun I have ever had in a class! if you get the opportunity, take his makeup class! one day a week 3 hours long but time flies (never stayed for entire 3 hours anyway) and 3 credits.

George is the best teacher at IHCC. This is my 4th class with him and he is awesome! All class are fun. So much fun I almost wanted to be a theater major... but I would like to make money and I would not be a good teacher. Anyway take George for any and all classes you can.

George is a great teacher if you're interested in theater or films. Very knowledgeable and will help you out if you ask. He doesn't give you a lot of warning for assignments so you need to stick to your syllabus. If you're loud and expressive you will pass.

I've taken three classes with George and he's my favorite teacher at Inver! His lectures can be a bit long but they're great if you're interested in the course content. He's always willing to help his students and is well loved and respected at Inver Hills. (He even has his own fan-club on Facebook.)

VERY boring, he will rarely remind the class when a paper is due and won't even ask the class for it but simply expect you to know. Lectures are terrible and filled with useless information. Don't take it unless you have to.

George is such a chill professor and gets so excited to see what people can come up with. Not hard to get a good grade in this class... Just come to class, get creative, and have fun! This class was def. one of my favorites. The room for doing makeup is hot from the lights though, and I'm not sure if George checks his e-mail all that often.

George is awesome! I took his Film History class my first semester at Inver and I passes with a breeze! I was also in his show and he was Ana amazing director to work for! The theater classes are especially great because George and Jason Gonzalez make a great pair! I can't wait to take more of their classes and audition for their shows this year!

Comment:

Excellent guide at the task of introducing newcomers to the topic of theater! You will literally never see him wearing professional attire that isn't black; his motives for that, when asked, are always vague and peculiar. Very likable, flexible to a variety of learning styles, extremely patient, teaches in a way that sparks an inner imagination.
