I'm not a fan of his teaching style specifically with programming. I'm a coder and do not appreciate someone breathing down my neck when I'm coding and telling me my code is wrong when I've just started to work on it. Figuring out the solution is the best and the most enjoyable part of coding! He takes the fun out of coding. Super Annoying. Ugh!

Not the friendliest professor and very moody. Will reply sarcastically or just tell you it's wrong without any help to solve it until it's time to solve it on the board.

He gives you presentation slides. Read over it before class, and as long as you are engaged/participating in class discussions, you should do fine. He is actually very nice and easy to talk to, so if you do not understand something - ask him. He might seem condescending at first, but he is extremely intelligent and that's his way to make you think.

Participate! He gives extra credit if you try to answer the problems on the board. He speaks very softly and that upsets some people. But if you don't understand something, ask and he will help. Do the homework and you will pass the class easily.

Easily my WORST experience at UH. He knows it's a hard class and doesn't attempt to make it easy. With only 3-4 questions per quiz, being worth 50% of your grade, he's setting you up for failure. He also talks very low and is hard to hear. If you actually want to learn the material, take this course during the summer with a different professor.

Little did I know Dr.Z's class would become the most interesting class I've taken in my career. I cannot believe more of his 4000 level classes are Not offered in COT. I learned sooo much, enjoyed every second of his lectures. He makes u think in ways u'd never had done before. Super interesting project. Exams were not too hard if you study!

I hated going to class. He tried to make students do problems on the board which they had no clue on how to do. You really have to study on your own and the textbook is really helpful. The tests were hard but if you knew how to do the homework problems and the example problems in class then it isn't too bad. You need to study 3-4 days prior to test

he focused on theory too much. He gave a little bit homework. I get good grade homework and his tests is easy+hard. If you are master theory, you should take this class. If you want to focus on practices, don't take him. He told us that students need more practices to understand good theory. About grade what you think you will become like that.

Had him as a substitute for Dr. Pollonini for two weeks. He's a really great professor, clear and concise. With decades of experience in computing he can answer your every question.

Very interesting course, you learn a lot especially if you plan research in imaging. Visits to hospitals are great. Notes are distributed on line. No homework, only two quizzes.
