First of all, Ge Han is a legend. He's quick witted, makes ridiculously funny comments, and pronounces words funny, which makes the class easy going. But none of this helps your grade. He's really not a great teacher at all. His explanations are awful, I pretty much taught myself out of the book. He's a pretty fair grader though. Do your HW.

I had Probability with Prof. Han and initially I was nervous but once settled in it wasn't bad at all. For his class do the homework! He gives you practice tests which are so similar to actual exams it is extremely helpful. He does have a slight accent, but it is easy to comprehend. If you have to take Math 331, this is definitely the guy to take!

probability sucks as it is so i would hate to teach it. its a rough class but i think hes pretty fair. gives lots of partial credit on exams and hw is 40%. his accent isnt that bad and hes such a cute little asian man. he expects a lot tho so be prepared to study. he keeps the exams too so its impossible to study unless u study hw.

He is a very nice teacher. Only two tests plus the final exam. Homework is 30% of your grade and is assigned most weeks except before a test. He always goes over homework problems in the begining of class if you have questions. He gives a study guide for every test. Lectures are straight from the book.Im not a math person but I have an A!

Previous to this class, the highest math I had was College Algebra which I took about 10 years ago, and I got an easy A. Sounds like a lot of the people who gave him bad marks are punishing him for their short comings. It's not rocket science. Read the notes, read the book, do the homework and study for the tests. No excuses.

God Awful. Gives a crap-ton of homework, and grades it for correctness. Piss-poor lectures make homework impossible. The book also sucks, examples are unclear, and the text was probably translated from chinese it's so confusing. His accent is pretty rough, but I can get passed it, it's just his teaching that blows. DO NOT TAKE.

what a great prof.! i am AWFUL in math and I ended up getting a B-. he makes everything so easy and is very clear. he is super nice and helpful. take math with him!!! you'll be so glad if you have a hard time with math. homework is a huge part of your grade, and the answers do not even have to be right. great!

Cutest lil man, looks just like the asian foreign exchange student from 16 candles. Very very helpful and explains things like hes talking to a "elementary" school kid. Great teacher, take him if ur not too good in math

Funny, but not on purpose. Best phrases include "DERIBATIBS!" "pwetty functrions." However, he is fair and helpful. The english is understandable. He knows his stuff, and provides a fair basis of grading. Do the hw, study hard, and ASK if you don't know how to do something. His pre-test reviews on the day of the test was a great help to all.

Do not take him unless you like going to class to see him put everything from the book on the board. Most of the grade is based on the final, don't know how I passed. Almost impossible to decipher what he is saying. Get use to him saying Oakay.

Very helpful during office hours. He does teach straight from the book but will go over anything you don't understand until you get it. Tests were a little hard but the review sheet covered all the material so all you have to do is study.

Awful, very nice guy, but he teaches straight out of the book and is extremely strict about the exams and grades VERY harsh, no cheat sheets alowed in this course. I would not recommend this "teacher".

Took a LONG time to warm up to us, but by the end of the semester he was making jokes and helping a lot. He wants you to do well, but sometimes doesn't come across as clear.. he will help if you ask, so don't be afraid to ask!
