This guy can come across as intimidating to some students but he really knows his stuff, is great at explaining abstract economic concepts which are often hard for students to grasp. Don't take his class if you don't plan on working hard, he has little patience for immature students during lectures. A great guy if you're interested in his classes.

One of my favourite Profs to date. His classes are actually engaging, and no lecture is the same. He explains ideas clearly, and if you need help, he's willing to give it during office hours. Exams are difficult, make sure you spend a lot of time on the assignments. Highly recommend Henry.

Econ is my minor and I found this course to be the most challenging one I have taken in my entire undergrad. Henry is a great prof one on one in class it is hard to even keep up. Make appointments to go see him only way to pass. Test were really hard, use practice ones to study!! He is probably the best prof Ive ever had though and most challenging

hes not a jerk. He tells you in the first lecture exactly what he expects. There are Low averages, hard tests, but since the class is curved it works out. It's frustrating, but everyone is in the same boat. He cares about how much you learn and doesn't waste time with slackers. Tough prof but a good guy overall. If you like a challenge hes your guy

This guy knows his economics inside and out. If you go to him for office hours you'll learn he's not as intimidating as he appears and is willing to help. Assignments and Exams very difficult (class avg. on midterm 10/25). Go to class or you will fail.

Personally I thought he was a terrible prof. Very arrogant and mumbles constantly. Go to class but beware he calls people out. Exams are brutal, with failing class averages. Avoid him if at all costs. He also thinks that by reading the theory you will be able to figure out the math related questions... Midterm average was 40%...

First mid term, the class had to pass around and sign an attendance list. 80 ppl in the class. Henry got the attendance list back with about 10 mins left in class. When time was up, he started pointing at ppl... "Tony, John, Lucy.. etc" and proceeded to recite all 80 ppl's names and finished with "please hand in your test". Extremelyintelligentguy.

Super nice guy, he is very funny. Never miss a class, and always read the textbook prior to attending. Homeworks are very difficult but there are just two of them. Exams are very fair and even easy.

Henry is one of those memorable profs that truly challenges you but makes you know the material entirely. It was a difficult class (lots of readings), but I never once regretted taking it. It's also not so hard that I'd recommend ditching it for an easy-A class. This is truly an unforgettable class that you'll want to come to.

Make sure you always attend class! He discusses things in class that never appear in his powerpoint notes. Also, make sure to thoroughly look over the previous midterms and finals, or you will definitely fail!

Exams are extremely straight forward. Sometimes you have to think a little, but not a ridiculous amount. He is one of the best profs in the dept. and treats his students fairly. His lecture style is more like a conversation then someone with PowerPoint droning on and on.

Nice guy, doesn't get much credit for what he taught. His mid term was really long but we weren't able to finish the exam. Final was easier than the midterm he gave us more time. You should take the class, he's pretty decent

Henry is the type of Prof that separates people who should be in Econ from those who shouldn't. If you want to an easy option, do not take anything he teaches. If you want an in depth look at economics then you should enjoy his classes. Exams are insane, work is tough, concepts are explained clearly, but the level is often beyond other profs.

One of the best profs I had in 7 years at the U of A. He pushes you to succeed both in class and on exams. Sometimes this comes off as arrogant, but is genuinely interested in teaching your learning. What you get out of this class depends on what you put into it. Marks in his class are earned, not given, but can be achieved with hard work
